I moved to Kansas City, technically Shawnee, in October 1985 and started following the Chiefs that season. Ever since then I have been a fan. I moved away from KC in August of 1988 to attend college and only returned for a few holidays before my family moved again. However, I have remained a faithful fanatic of the Red and Gold since then. I think what hooked me was attending a Saturday practice with my dad one year. He was the Army recruiting battalion commander for KC and, as a result, was invited to attend the practice jumps of the Army parachute team that Saturday. I got to take along and watch the walk through and then the practice jump, but the best part was some of the players coming out to sign autographs after showering. It was pretty cool for a teenager. I did end up in Colorado Springs at the Air Force Academy and had to suffer through 4 years of living in Bronco territory, but was able to escape in 1993 to more hospitable lands. In order to watch ever game, I have been a NFL Sunday Ticket subscriber over the course of my travels. I used to write in the sports section of my high school newspaper and was the Sports Editor my senior year, but didn’t start writing again until taking on this role with ArrowheadOne. I really enjoy the site and the family atmosphere Laddie has created. Disagreeing is fine but trolling is not. Much more fun this way.

Jason Seibel – Author – Editor and Moderator
“Direct Snap” and “Anatomy of a Touchdown”
Jason was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. Trying to pick a team while living in a town located equal distances from Seattle, Minnesota and Denver was difficult. As a boy, Jason rooted for the San Francisco 49ers (because that’s who his mom rooted for) and quickly developed a love for Joe Montana and a hatred for John Elway. In 1993 when Montana was traded to the Chiefs, Jason followed and has been there ever since. (Luckily that hatred thing for Elway worked out.) Jason has been on active duty in the United States Air Force for just over 20 years. He loves his wife, kids and the Chiefs…in that order. Jason is a podcast enthusiast, and was the voice of AA Radio for two seasons and Chiefs Central Radio for one season in addition to writing for several sites including Arrowhead Addict (writer/editor-in-chief), Cover32-Chiefs, and Bleacher Report. He’s happy to have found a home here at Arrowhead One.

“Rodela’s Read on the Chiefs”
I am 29 years old from Jacksonville, Florida. Growing up my dad tried to brainwash me into being a Dolphins fan, my grandpa the Cowboys and there was also a new team in my hometown, the Jaguars. I met my step-dad around the age of 10 and he took me to a local sports bar to see a Chiefs game. I remember seeing Tony Gonzales go up over two Oakland defenders and catch the ball one-handed in the corner of the end zone. The moment he dunked the ball over the goal post I wanted (and got) a jersey with 88 on it. I’ve been a diehard fan ever since, digesting as many article as I can and analyzing every stat. I spend my non-Chiefs life either working as CNC Programmer for a structural steel company or on the go with my ever supportive wife and three amazing boys. I still follow the Jaguars closely, they are not my team but a team I wish success every year. I also like to get an occasional round of disc golf in where I can. -Frank Rodela
Ransom Hawthorne – Chiefly Bacon – Senior Writer for ArrowheadOne
I was born in KS grew up in Tucson AZ and spent three years in Mexico (my parents are missionaries). My family didn’t watch sports of any kind, but my Uncle was a Chiefs fan. Started watching Monday Night Football with my Dad and Grandpa when his health went downhill. The first full season I watched was Todd Hayley’s first year. I live in McPherson KS, I’m married, an electrician, and I have two boys a three-year-old and a one-year-old and both can say TOUCHDOWN! Feel free to use however much or little of that as you want. -Ransom Hawthorne, aka; “Chiefly Bacon”
Laddie Morse – Senior Writer – ArrowheadOne Creator and Administrator
I was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in Southern California. The L.A. Rams were my first football love but I spent my days in the front yard pretending I was Jim Brown mowing down tacklers… essentially my younger brother and his little buddies or any other neighborhood kid I could find. After two knee surgeries from all kinds of football and sports related injuries — in the 8th and 10th grades — I decided… if I couldn’t play football… I’d go into coaching. So, off to college I went, first in Iowa… then back to California… then Iowa… then California… then Iowa again (I was a very confused young man)… and then Northern Arizona where I ended up with a degree in Elementary Education… simply because I had to get a summer job and ended up at a preschool to keep from taking out any college loans and in the process came to feel that young children were everything I’d imagined coaching would be. I moved to Kansas City after college and fell in love with the Chiefs of course but, I’d visited there in the summer of 1970 while at a volleyball tournament and stayed with friends who worshiped the Chiefs… and my fascination with these newly crowned Super Bowl Champions has never gone away. I’ve written more than 700 songs and poems and over 600 feature-length articles about the Kansas City Chiefs. I love the Chiefs, and have a great passion for writing, a marriage made in heaven for me. I have a grown daughter with a family, who all mean the world to me, including a talented son-in-law and two cool grandkids. Plus… and here’s your Bonus Round information… I got married in the fall of 2016.
