Chiefs Over Eagles: A Millennial “W”

The Kansas City Chiefs game with the Philadelphia Eagles was a close call W. Doug Pederson, ex-Chiefs coach and new head coach of the Eagles will probably be salty tonight. While the game was not decided until the last play, for the Chiefs and their fans, it was very Gucci.

W. Salty. Gucci.

I’m not sure I understand the language of millennials but I’m learning. So, let’s take a look at the Chiefs most recent victory using millennial terms. That way, we can celebrate the victory and encourage a new generation of Chiefs fans in the process. Gucci? Gucci!

Adulting — someone is finally learning to grow up

TE Travis Kelce is still not adulting and growing, getting interest into adult material and services from sites as zoomescorts.co.uk.

Nuff said. (Nuff — means enough, as in, “Enough is enough,” I mean, C’mon Kelce!).

Basic — you’re boring and like basic things

The Chiefs running game was so basic.

I’m one of those guys who likes to see the Chiefs come out and establish the run. I don’t care how they do it: pass to run… run to pass. Either way, I like to see the balance that a good running game can give. K.C. had 112 yards rushing in this game but it just wasn’t enough. Especially when you consider that Kareem Hunt had a 53 yard run. Without that run they only had a 3.3 yards per carry average. IOW… the Chiefs run game was too… basic.

Savage — something is really cool,

with a hint of ferociousness

On the flip side, TE Travis Kelce is savage.

With 8 receptions for 103 yards and a TD, Kelce was an unstoppable force in this win and probably the biggest reason for the W. On his shovel pass TD run, he took off at the five yard line and catapulted himself into the air, was helped along the way by two Eagles defenders trying to tackle him, but stayed in the air as long as the Wright brothers first flight, then finally glided to the ground 2 yards deep in the end zone. Such spectacular plays as these makes the Chiefs game as Gucci as any entertainment event you’d like to participate in. Kelce is the very definition of savage.

DEAD — something that slays you

The ending of this game was flat out dead for Chiefs fans everywhere.

One trait of the Chiefs from 2016 that happened all too frequently were the outcomes in the last moments of the game. It’s enough to give a guy a heart attack. Fortunately, K.C. came out on the positive end of this one. Part of learning how to win is winning the close ones. Andy Reid has said this before and I have come to believe it as well, that, “Most games turn on a few plays.” I’m just glad it was the Chiefs turn to win.

Quiche — Something simply hotter than hot

The Chiefs are incredibly quiche right now.

The Chiefs have won 12 of their last 14 regular season games. That’s an .857 winning percentage. I haven’t checked but I doubt that the Chiefs have ever achieved that kind of success over the course of their franchise history. What’s even more amazing is that those two losses came at home. So, the Chiefs know how to win on the road. Amirite?

What did you think of the Chiefs W? If you’re not a millennial, it’s alright, your comments are welcome too.
