MNF: Chiefs Host Broncos, OPEN THREAD

It’s Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium. The Kansas City Chiefs were scheduled for their fair share of prime time games in the 2017 season and this is one of them. I doubt that anyone would have guessed that the Chiefs would be so completely in the drives set in the AFC West, much less the division at this point in the season but here we are and enjoying every minute of it.

While I have my doubts about the outcome of this game, simply because Andy Reid’s Chiefs have been a streaky bunch since his arrival. Sure, Reid has won twice as many games as he’s lost as the Chiefs skipper but, he’s had 3 or more game losing streaks in 2013, 2014, 2015 and… now we’re facing that possibility if the outcome of this game takes a nose dive. Sorry to be a negative Nancy but this game could be a tough one.

Even though that’s been a part of the history here in recent years, I guess I too much of a hopeless homoer and I’ predicting a Chiefs win: 27-to-17.

Go Chiefs!!!

This is what we’ve got. I like what we’re getting I hope to get some more. I ususally hate updates but this one is magic! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/41c37ac00f214a4182a4cc2fca047342b0b6ad3b99ede34e04f4678826997d06.jpg

NO doom and gloom, none! It’s Monday night and my only concern is how in the hell do I get one of those hats that all furry and stuff.

    • ladner morse

      hehehe

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Game night!!!!!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

What’s that say about our OL when Denver thinks rushing 3 is enough to get to Smith.

    • Homer Dave

pretty bad actually, they are going to make Alex try and beat them and that is a recipe for disaster. Spread the Secondary out and Hunt is going to feast.

  • Homer Dave

Matt Hasselbeck just talked out players saying “we’re going to do it ourselves”. Reminds me of when he accepted the ball in overtime and made a rather infamous prediction.

  • Homer Dave

YAY!!! No red on red uniforms tonight!!

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

People love those…..as if we play better wearing them–lol

      • Homer Dave

yet to see that minus one game.

    • mnelson52

I hate the red on red

      • Homer Dave

that’s two of us, we’re the minority I fear.

        • mnelson52

Looks like clown suits, and not the scary kind of clown.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    You know what I miss
Even when we sucked….we had a great chance of going 8-8 because Arrowhead was damn near impossible to win at……….seems now we play harder on the road.

    • mnelson52

Since Reid has been here, it seems like we’ve had more losses at home than on the road.

      • Homer Dave

I meant to look that one up the other day and forgot.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

maybe it’s a curse from when KC fans cheered when Cassel got hurt.

      • mnelson52

I still say they were not cheering the injury

        • JimHarbaughsguys

As a complete outside observer at that point, it sure as bleep looked like KC fans were.

I recall the OL interviews after the game where the OL players made mention of it.

That, to me, was the absolute lowest point I have seen KC/especially KC fans in my NFL fan career.

          • Homer Dave

so, it had nothing to do with that fact that a very rare, for those days, positive yardage play was made? I’m sure there were people that cheered due to Matt getting hurt, but saying that the Chief’s fans as a whole were is media driven.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

The KC players said it. The OL players at that.

          • Homer Dave

No, Winston said it, one guy and it’s not like he was in the stands. Media driven.

          • mnelson52

Winston that sucked at football was the only lineman I remember saying that. There was also a big play and flag thrown at the time that had people cheering.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Similar to Smith in SF

        • JimHarbaughsguys

Niner fans are A-holes, but they didn’t cheer when AS got hurt.
They did boo the crap out of him in 2010 finale when he opened up the game with a throwaway on a pass that would have gotten the WR killed.

AS then proceeded to destroy the opposing team and the fans were actually quieter after a good AS play than they were after that first pass (throw away).

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I live in central California, I am completely surrounded by 49er fans, they celebrated when Smith went down and Kap took over.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

I’m talking about the fans in the stadium at the time of the injury. When Alex went out with a concussion (he completed that drive with a TD on 3rd down) there was no cheering by the fans in the stadium (at least not enough to hear on my TV)
I know a ton of fans got onto that Kap bandwagon after that Bears game.
The one in SF. The one where the Bears D wasn’t that good. The one where the Bears didn’t even know who would be QB. The one where Kap played his best game of his career, and never came remotely close to playing another like it again.

      • Homer Dave

or Scar when Mufassa fell to the herd

  • ladner morse
  • Chiefly Bacon

    Wow.

Kenneth Acker appears to be starting at RCB tonight in place of Terrance Mitchell, based on pregame warmups— Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) October 30, 2017

    • Homer Dave

oh my Lord, I am worried and not even joking.

      • Chiefly Bacon

Hopefully it’s because they think Acker matches up better here and not because Mitchell is hurt.

        • Homer Dave

that’s my concern…CB is detrimentally short already.

  • Homer Dave

Another YAY!!! No bad-luck Romo announcing….or that damn CC either!!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Maybe KC would be better off if the NFL just went back to that one game where there were no announcers at all.

      • Homer Dave

I still really want Mitch Holthus to be allowed to broadcast for KC on the National stage…the guy is amazing but I fear that as soon as Mitch was allowed to do so he would get stolen away from us.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Aqib the Dweeb

    • Chiefly Bacon

His proper title is “Captain Eye-Poke”

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Lol

      • Homer Dave

I thought it was “DON’T SHOOT!!”

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Ok….that all too familiar pit in my stomach has arrived.

    • Homer Dave

get a drink and join me, I’m all happy butterflies and crap.

    🚨 🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨🚨@JimmyG_10 is headed to the 49ers: https://t.co/XFICN9HISE pic.twitter.com/RaqbFmsawE— NFL (@NFL) October 31, 2017

    • JimHarbaughsguys

I don’t like this move. (thanks by the way as I heard it from you)

The guy is a career backup and we give up more for him than we did to get Joe Montana or Steve Young or Alex Smith.

I actually did like a lot of our moves this year so far. This one stinks the joint up. Especially since that #2 can easily be the 33rd pick in the draft since we are winless right now

  • Homer Dave

looks like KC deferred, defense is up first. Time for Acker to prove that he was overlooked by like 2-31 teams or so.

  • Homer Dave

is Buttkicker hurt? that didn’t clear the endzone?

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

The ball had ice on it

      • Homer Dave

        lol

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Hopefully only when Denver has it.

  • Homer Dave

Send the hounds Sutton, send the hounds!!

  • Homer Dave

Nelson tight there, so far so good. but the pass rush sucks.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Is houston rushing?

      • Homer Dave

I have no idea WHAT they are doing.

    • mnelson52

Can’t understand our lack of pressure.

      • Homer Dave

Sutton has to send them first.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Nice start

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Murray penalty again!!!

  • Homer Dave

Murray might need to go sit down a little, like at the unemployment line

  • Homer Dave

Stoopid Kelce and his yellow gloves, I thought that was Ref’s laundry on the field, lol.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I was thinking that same thing earlier when we were talking about jersey colors

  • Homer Dave

ugly pass, wasn’t close. Is there wind tonight in Arrowhead?

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Nice catch…..it’s good to be tall

  • ladner morse

Get Kelce going early. Big trouble for Denver

    • Homer Dave

      Big Trouble in Little Arrowhead?

  • Homer Dave

is it just me or is Hunt an only-between-the-tackles-runner?

  • Homer Dave

dammit, Smith did a great job of trying to keep that play alive…no luck

    • JimHarbaughsguys

The OL has to do their part in this game.
Can’t let the Denver DL pick their spots to rush at the QB

      • Homer Dave

yeah, but I’m going to give that stand up more to the Denver secondary not allowing an open receiver. Smith had time, just no open targets.

  • mnelson52

Well that penalty cost us at least 3 points

  • Homer Dave

does the dummy runner understand that he called a fair catch?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      31 yard kick?
      geez

      • Homer Dave

I’m starting to think there is a 50 m.ph. wind coming from that side of the field. Butker short kick, Alex over-compensating, Colquit short punt.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          Wasn’t it a touchback?

          • Homer Dave

My point was that Butker has been kicking nearly every kick-off either out of the endzone or very near the very end of it. For Butker to kick it short, plus the other two things I mentioned makes me think wind has a factor in this so far.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

After that kickoff following the TD, you may be right

  • ladner morse

If I never saw a Manning commercial again I could declare this planet could be called heaven.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Take his stupid pizza company to go (pun intended) as well.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    There he goes

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Completely unheard of. A guy feels he got screwed by one team plays that team and does a lot better vs that team than anybody else.

  • Homer Dave

DJ56 getting caught up, where? that was a blown assignment by one of my favorite players.

  • Homer Dave

shut the HOLY F UP Chucky!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      I hate Gruden.

      • mnelson52

        I like him

      • Homer Dave

Man, I usually like him but when he started spouting off how great it would be if JC came in and destroyed KC in his past home I went livid. That was some b.s. commentary.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Hahahahahahaha!!!!

  • Homer Dave

    welcome back JC!!

  • ladner morse

    Thank you Mr JC.

  • mnelson52

    stupid Peters

  • Heilios

Wow peters finally got a strip. Stupid peters you can’t dunk over the goal post

    • mnelson52

He knows that. Just doesn’t care about the team. it’s all about him.

      • Homer Dave

sadly, I agree. Peters serves Peters first.

  • ladner morse

JC delivers us us… as usual.

  • Heilios

It pains me to see Charles in that jersey. I wish him all the best though. Except for tonight.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

We might have gotten a break there…..forward progress had stopped for awhile there….no whistle saved us.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Can’t review forward progress I believe

      • Heilios

Exactly that’s why you play through the whistle!

        • Homer Dave

POW!! Unless of course you are Peters tackling Carr, then you get fined 9K.

          • Heilios

Is that what his fine was?

          • Homer Dave

a little more, like 9.4 or so.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Is Peters going to get out of his slump tonight?

    • Homer Dave

      we can hope.

  • Heilios

Our run D will be tested tonight. They should be able to destroy this offensive line

  • Heilios

    Ford! Good pursuit

    • Homer Dave

lol, he can go disappear for 2 weeks or so now.

  • Heilios

I like that we are dialing up pressure tonight. Much better than the old play prevent bemd don’t break crap

  • mnelson52

    Good pressure that time

  • Homer Dave

    Gaines, smh.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Gaines finding new ways to screw us

  • Heilios

Gains is just awful. Please Reid my birthday is next week. Give me a present and cut his ass!

  • Homer Dave

I wonder how many Samuel Jackson commercial retakes they have to make due to his flowing MFs all over the place?

  • Dave

Of course of course Gaines can even mess up when relegated to kickoff and punt duties

  • ladner morse

What’s the matter with Philip Gaines? Something is horribly wrong there.

  • Dave

if we dont make a trade for a CB (I dont care who at this point) so we can get rid of Gaines I am going to go crazy

    • Heilios

Maybe Reid can trade Gaines for a backup cheerleader?

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        LMAO!!!
I literally cracked up at that one

      • JimHarbaughsguys

I wonder what the backups look like

        • Heilios

A little like me with a wig and some pretty lipstick

          • JimHarbaughsguys

If I had a completely different lifestyle, that might mean something to me.
            : )

          • Homer Dave

            lol, you ain’t right.

      • mnelson52

        lol

  • Heilios

There goes Hunt breaking ankles, tackles, and hearts!

  • Homer Dave

Teams are getting smart to the fact that Smith rolls right when flushed, they are boxing KC’s WRs to the left.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Most right handed QB’s will run to their right for a few reasons
      1. Easier for them to pass if they move right
      2. Pressure likely comes from the left, so run opposite direction, which is right.
This is especially true with Fisher as the LT.

      • Homer Dave

yup, doesn’t change the fact the fact the every single KC WR was boxed left on that scramble though.

  • Heilios

Hit him with the helmet. Shut up Gruden

  • ladner morse

    Break for Chiefs

    • Heilios

True he straight up dropped it but it def was a penalty

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Robinson isn’t feeling lucky no doubt

  • Homer Dave

it was helmer first folks, Chucky is wrong again. My biggest problem is that Robinson heard footsteps right there. We’re missing Conley’s hands and route running.

    • Heilios

Robinson is still growing and adjusting to the role. I think he will shine just needs some confidence

      • Homer Dave

he’s raw, and his play reflects that, I like the kid but I think his play has some maturing to do.

        • Heilios

          Absolutely

  • Heilios

    That was a great play!

  • mnelson52

Thought I saw a flag, then realized it was Kelce’s glove

    • Homer Dave

      they are so deceptive.

  • Heilios

There’s the dance! Great touch throw by Smith to Kelce!

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    HOLY SH*T

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    LOL….Kelce’s dances kill me

    • mnelson52

I’m sure as a kid he was always one of those that entertained himself.

  • Heilios

That was a nice move kelce put on him too!

  • ladner morse

    Whoohoos all across the bar….

  • ladner morse

    Me likey some Butler!

    • ladner morse

      Sorry. That didn’t sound right.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      For PATs especially

  • JimHarbaughsguys

KC has a 14 point lead on a team that has scored under 20 points in all but 2 games this year.

    • Heilios

Run up the score. Don’t go conservative Andy!

      • Homer Dave

        just kill ’em.

    • mnelson52

This is where Reid gets them in trouble trying to run the clock too soon with crap plays

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Well, arrowheadaddict had an article about running the ball to help win the game.
This would not be a bad time to try it. You do have Hunt.

  • Homer Dave

welp, I’ll eat crow…it appears that Smith and Reid understood that the league knew Smith’s penchant for running to his right so they designed a play to go across the body to the right. Pass the salt.

  • Heilios

    Interception peters!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      no way

      • Heilios

        I swear to Christ

        • JimHarbaughsguys

A few weeks ago, didn’t we all agree that (Christ) was you?

          • Heilios

I am only a prophet. Lol

  • Heilios

You may have to pass that crow over here Dave. I’ve been down on Peters for a while now.

    • Homer Dave

he keeps carrying that ball like a loaf of bread and you won’t. Zero ball secure.

      • mnelson52

        yep

    • mnelson52

He did nothing special. It was thrown to him in stride.

  • Heilios

Hunt bruised the first defender! Boom

  • ladner morse

Denver WRs don’t look so good these days do they.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Nice interception Peters…….but damn it, that one handed show boat crap had me cussing at the TV

    • Homer Dave

welcome home Shane, now get a damn Red jersey on already.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

How does a WR get a false start at home?
Get your head in the game Hill!

  • Heilios

    Dropped it. Man

  • Heilios

    Great hard count Smith!

  • Heilios

Look at Fisher! It looked like he was tattling on Ray to the teacher

  • Heilios

Kelce redeems himself with a great high catch

    • Homer Dave

      twice tonight.

  • Homer Dave

I like the reception, but I don’t like the high throws. Bad for receiver’s longevity.

  • Homer Dave

that one was sniffed out fast by Denver

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Denver read that

  • Heilios

    Hill threw an interception. Crap

    • Heilios

      Terrible throw by hill

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      What!!??

      • Heilios

Pitch to Hill, Hill to Robinson intercepted in the endzone

  • Homer Dave

    stoopid, stoopid, stoopid.

  • ladner morse

    Why. Why. Ehy. Why. Why.

    • mnelson52

Like I said earlier, a 2 score lead is where Reid goes stupid

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Who the hell has a WR try a pass in the redzone where its hard for QB’s to pass it?

    • Heilios

      Because Reid, that’s why

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Not liking that play call by Reid.
Alex should have played dumb and just done something else. Give the ball to Hunt up the middle or something.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

People thought it was brilliant when Poe did it

      • Heilios

        Should have been Chris Jones

      • JimHarbaughsguys

That game was in hand though I believe.

  • Homer Dave

this is a dangerous time, Kc can let Denver right back in here..

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Massive momentum shift damn it….turnover then a long completed pass

    • Homer Dave

      avoidable is the thing.

  • Heilios

    Logan blew that up

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Nice job Logan

  • Heilios

    Wow Peters tackled him.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Damn

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Guess they didn’t get the stop

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Nope

  • Homer Dave

well crap, looks like Peters read some social media about his lack of want to tackle

    • Heilios

Or maybe some good looking fan writer has an in with Reid?

  • Heilios

I hate that ticket commercial, straight cash homey

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Lol…yeah, dorky

    • Homer Dave

I can’t help but remember that nobody HAD to cover Moss he was too lazy to get open on his own.

  • mnelson52

Reminds me of the last time we lost to Broncos. 2 TD lead, then a turnover that resulted in a score twice for Broncos to catch us by halftime.

    • Homer Dave

      sssshhhhhh…..

  • ladner morse

Why would you ever go to a trick play when your normal game plan is killing them.

Reid Open the door for Denver and said. Welcome my friends.

    • mnelson52

He likes close games. Win or lose

  • berttheclock

Andy “Too Cute By Half” Reid.

  • Chiefly Bacon

Stupid play call, but the execution is on Hill. You don’t throw that with two defenders in the area.

  • Heilios

Do you guys remember the game where Elway cried to the ref about the crowd being too loud?

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Yep

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Was it him?
That was a LONG time ago

      • Homer Dave

        yeah, 1990 long ago.

  • Homer Dave

Logan showing up twice on this drive. We need a third right here

  • Heilios

It was tipped but he still made the catch

  • Homer Dave

    Parker went for the pick.

  • ladner morse

    Parker Putz

  • Heilios

    Who was fighting there?

  • Homer Dave

Is Chucky really that dumb? or is he just talking out of his butt? It wasn’t blown coverage, or anything else, Parker went for the ball.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Yeah. He is that dumb.
I saw his press conferences all the time here in the bay area when he was the Raiders HC.
The guy was the one who pissed Rodgers off when he didn’t draft him like he promised

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Come on Defense
I know it was a momentum shifter, but for christ sakes. Denver still has to go 80 for the TD. How about you stop them.

  • Heilios

    The niners get Garoppolo?

    • Homer Dave

      yup, poor guy

      • Heilios

Poor bastard that team is a dumpster fire. Almost like the browns

        • Homer Dave

yeah, but they are in rebuild and have offered no other excuses than that. They have to start somewhere.

          • mnelson52

Yes but with another Cassel ?

          • Homer Dave

            Haha, less credentials than Cassel.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          No
The dumping of bowman was a good move. He didn’t make a difference for us in any game this or last year.

Our D is actually pretty damn good. We got blown out vs Philly in Philly, but the Niners held Philly to fewer yards, average/rush and average/pass than the KC D did.

The difference between the two teams is Alex Smith.

    • Heilios

And they said Smith was expendable and roll with Kap

  • ladner morse

    Stupid trade

    • JimHarbaughsguys

2nd round pick…which is like the 33rd pick overall since we haven’t won a game yet.

    • berttheclock

But, did you see where the Seahawks have just shored up their left side with Duane Brown from the Texans?

    • ladner morse

      On both parts.

  • Heilios

    Houston! Sack attack!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

He usually does his thing vs Denver.
      Other teams, not so much

  • Homer Dave

    3M dollar sack?

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Held to 3

  • Heilios

    Miss it!

    • Heilios

      Nope

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I was about to flip out if that resulted in a first down

    • Homer Dave

      lol, me too.

  • Homer Dave

The Alienist show looks intriguing but I have to admit I used the book in order to fall asleep faster for months on end. It never failed.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

We were just intrigued by that show

      • Heilios

        Looks interesting

  • Heilios

So what is new england going to do when Brady finally shows his age?

    • Heilios

      They could trade for Cassel?

  • ladner morse

    Time for a Smith keeper

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Flea flicker!!

  • mnelson52

    We need momentum back

  • Heilios

    MOAR SHOVEL PASS!

  • Homer Dave

shuttle pass time. Reid is still getting cute, he ain’t scurred.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Why are all the kicks short?

  • Heilios

Smith overthrew Hill? Wow. Maybe he was just showing off his arm strength! Lol

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Hill’s made a few very bad plays and dumb decisions (false start and the INT pass). He’s gotta make up for it.

    • Homer Dave

well, a slightly better pass might benefit Hill to that end, but I agree…he owes the team so far this game.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

I actually wrote that post not knowing about the deeper Hill pass.

        • Homer Dave

          lol, my bad…

        • Heilios

          Nostrodamus

          • JimHarbaughsguys

            And don’t you forget it.

  • Heilios

    Great punt coverage Chesson!

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

They heard that hit in Denver

  • Homer Dave

    great stick by Jehu!

  • mnelson52

Well that didn’t get momentum back. A good throw would have though

  • ladner morse

    Chesson’s been nothing but reliable.

    • Homer Dave

      *on special teams*

      • Dave

he will be a great a receiver

        • Homer Dave

JHGs already has the handle on the Nostradamus handle but you could be very correct, sir.

  • Dave

Alex taking a turn for the worse on those deep passes lately

  • Heilios

The run D has been significantly better so far tonight

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

They can afford it with Siemian throwing

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        You’re mean.
        Tito won’t like it.

      • Homer Dave

same thing I was just thinking.

    • mnelson52

Yes, but almost all Ds look good against Denver

  • mnelson52

I hope no one as short as Hill throws another pass for the Chiefs

  • Heilios

    Houston got to him!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Like I said.
he does his thing vs Denver

      • Heilios

I think its because they are allowing him to rush the passer and not putting him in coverage all the time

        • Homer Dave

hopefully that’s because the Secondary is getting over their what-ever-the-hell-that-was complex

        • JimHarbaughsguys

I doubt it, but I hope you’re right.
Look over his games vs Denver since his contract signing. Damn near every one of the ones that really stand out are vs Denver.

  • Homer Dave

Sutton lined up 55 ad 50 on the same side. Actually made Ford make a play, lol.

  • Heilios

Zombo breaking up some arguments out there

  • Heilios

I don’t think I have seen Hunt go down with the first tackler this season.

  • Dave

how about Denver trades for Mahommes and in return they agree to pay Alex Smith’s contract

    • Homer Dave

      oh, lordy……..

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      It ain’t Christmas.
      It’s Halloween

  • Homer Dave

LOL, Hunt scoffs at you single, weak, first attempt, at tackling.

    • Heilios

      I was just thinking that

  • Heilios

That throw had some ass behind it

    • ladner morse

      Okay. Okay.

      • Heilios

Sorry Laddie but it did. It was moving!

        • mnelson52

Maybe the hardest I’ve seen him throw one

    • Homer Dave

well, 20 of them to be exact.

  • Heilios

    Hill penalty. Man.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Maybe switch Hill for Peters tonight.

  • Heilios

Thats fine Hunt will just get the first down again.

    • Homer Dave

      well, duh.

  • Heilios

    Smith was wanting paydirt there

  • Homer Dave

    Smith wanted that

    • Heilios

If he didn’t slip he would of had it

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        Who slipped?

        • Heilios

Smith. That’s why he went down low

      • Homer Dave

too much corner, not enough feet. sorry

  • ladner morse

    Another wasted drive

  • Heilios

    Go Butker

  • Homer Dave

not a good throw, at all.

    • Heilios

Any lower it would have been an int. Not a terrible decision

      • Dave

he didnt lead him at all had more to do with that than height of throw

      • Homer Dave

it was late and high…high is fine but not the combination of the two. I’m sticking with not a good throw.

        • Heilios

No it wasn’t a good throw but it wasn’t a bad decision. If it would have been further right then it would have been a completion. The commentators were saying it was a bad decision to throw it high. I was disagreeing with what they were saying

          • Homer Dave

            the high part, right.

          • Heilios

Yes. He should have led him to the right and kept it high

          • Dave

you are wrong it was a bad throw

          • Heilios

It most certainly was a bad throw.

    • Dave

been piling those types of throws up for three weeks now

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I don’t think it was meant to be, he put it where the defenders could not get it and in a place where a possible miracle by Harris

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        “possible miracle by Harris”
May as well have tried passing it to Poe in Atlanta then.

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

          Poe has better hands

          • Homer Dave

HAHAHA!!! and a better passer rating!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Buttkicker is golden

    • Homer Dave

who would have thought it. Even a healthy Santos won’t make it back if Butker keeps it up.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        True

      • Dave

        santos is done in KC

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          He’ll land somewhere.

          • Dave

            for sure and get paid

  • ladner morse

    Could be up 28-to-0.

    Instead it’s a 2 TD lead.

    • Dave

      Chiefs man its the Chiefs

    • JimHarbaughsguys

It should at least be 20-0.

    • mnelson52

If not within 2 possessions, it probably isn’t the Chiefs playing..lol

    • mnelson52

actually 31 if not for the penalty when Hill ran the 1st punt back to Denver 30 yd line

  • Heilios

    Parker interception!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Ron Parker baby!!!

  • Heilios

    Parker toe tapping!

  • Homer Dave

Sutton sent Ford to the right and Houston has been staying left….crazy times?

  • Dave

    God Seimen is terrible

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

He has got to be gone soon I would imagine.
      Paxton is back healthy

      • Dave

paxton blows too so that’s good for Chiefs

  • Heilios

How long until Osweiller gets the nod?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

KC got Manning benched for Siemen. Why not get Siemen benched?

      • Homer Dave

        and Plummer

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I was there for that game

          • Heilios

            Lucky

          • Homer Dave

            you misspelled “old”, bwahahahaha!!!!

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            Heeeeeey!!

          • Homer Dave

Jake the Snake is who Alex reminds me of when he rolls out right as of late. Plummer doing that to KC every dang play years ago used to drive me nuts.

      • mnelson52

        We hit Manning more

      • Dave

does he have a back up? Paxton was inactive

        • Heilios

          Osweiller is his backup tonight

        • JimHarbaughsguys

How about if Garrapolo stops by for a game before he hits SF?

          • Dave

            what a crazy unexpected trade

  • JimHarbaughsguys

The seasons stats are in KC’s favor now. Seiman INT’s lead to Denver losses. Just gotta ignore the turnovers ourselves (Hill) and KC has this one.

  • Heilios

Hill when he gets changing direction does the windmill thing with his free arm.

  • drwillez37

Has anyone returned a kick against BUT KICKER yet??

    • Heilios

I think they are almost all touch backs

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      The first game I think.

  • Dave

can the Chiefs grow the lead????????? or do they play conservative for the entire second half and make it close

    • Heilios

Reid better not go conservative. Its a rivalry game you are required to run up the score

    • ladner morse

That is the Andy Reid question of the Century.

      • no, that one was answered in 1999.

        • ladner morse

          AD or BC?

          • Homer Dave

            Ask CKAs!

      • mnelson52

        No hungry PIG

    • mnelson52

      It’ll be close

    • mnelson52

see it will be close. Chiefs find ways to keep it close whether they win or lose. They will keep any team in the game.

  • well. Andy. you took another three points off the board at a minimum with your stupid freakin’ trick plays. Hill had 5 yards at least. My view. I think they would have scored. Now when trick plays work? the guy calling them is a hero I guess. I am much more into go straight at ’em type of guy.

  • Heilios

Smith broke free. That’s a great read. Kelce is hurt?

  • Smith’s legs work.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

If they didn’t he wouldn’t have been long in the NFL behind the Niner and KC OL’s

  • ladner morse

    Uh oh

  • Homer Dave

Schwartz absolutely owned Miller right there. That was beautiful.

  • Heilios

    Rolled his ankle

  • Homer Dave

    haha stoopid enver.

  • Heilios

    Smith fumbled crap

  • ladner morse

    Geez

  • Heilios

I want to cut that guys hair so badly

    • Dave

      that guy is awesome

      • Heilios

        Lol

  • Heilios

    Get a turnover D

  • you give that one to the Broncos. That was not a fumble. But the second f–k up in the redzone.

  • Homer Dave

Fisher got blown absolutely up and Smith never knew it was coming.

    • Dave

      yea Fisher does that

    • JimHarbaughsguys

the key word there is “Fisher”
Then Alex should have known it was coming.

      • Homer Dave

never said anything different about that play.

  • Heilios

    Houston got him!

  • Homer Dave

outta be a penalty for the chop block. same ol’ enver.

  • mnelson52

I love how we can keep any team in the game

  • Heilios

Run it back Hill! Get the score!

  • Heilios

    QB kneel coming up

  • Heilios

So do you guys think we are going to see a trade happen for KC to get some secondary help?

    • mnelson52

Normally no, but I really have no idea how the new GM thinks yet

  • Homer Dave

This game should have been out of reach already. Awfully sloppy so far plus I am worried about Kelce.

  • Heilios

    Garoppolo should be pissed

    • JimHarbaughsguys

If he thinks he is good, he really shouldn’t be
The Niners D is not that bad at all. They just get worn down due to the offense sucking.

      • Heilios

He was probably expecting to inherit the Patriots and gets traded to San Fran. He probably isnt happy about it. I wish him all the best though maybe he can turn the team around.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

He expected it 3 years ago. You can’t trade a player on a contract without their approval. He has a top 10 WR in Garcon in SF to work with, and an over rated RB in Hyde.

          • Homer Dave

heard Hyde was thinking retirement, is that true?

          • JimHarbaughsguys

I wouldn’t care if he did.

    • Homer Dave

JG wanted a chance to start obviously. He was going to be sitting behind Brady in NE until at least the Swiss ran out of stem cell injections to feed into Van Brady.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Niners were once the class of the league……I’d like to think Garoppolo is excited to possible play a part in bringing that back.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        You’re sweet.

  • Homer Dave

Kelce looks to be fine, hope it sticks.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

They rubbed some dirt on it

      • Heilios

        Scientific methods

      • Homer Dave

        drink water, eat salt tablets.

  • Heilios

How salty do you think Osweiller must be after his trip around the league just to wind up the backup to a 7th round pick?

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I was thinking that same thing as they panned in on him at half time walking into the tunnel

  • Homer Dave

I like Joseph, I even wanted him as a HC before the Clarks picked AR. The guy makes a plan and sticks to it.

  • ladner morse

Really want to see more of Robinson

  • Heilios

    Harris drops another one

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Till he figures out how to make the catch…

    • Dave

      bad throw again actually

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        You’re playing a top D.
You can’t drop balls that you can get.

        • Dave

agreed but bad throw = harder to catch

  • Homer Dave

tough catch, but catchable. Harris is not good.

  • Heilios

    Muffed it! We got it!

  • Heilios

    Thomas got right on it!

  • Homer Dave

heck, DAT is still on the team!?

  • ladner morse

    And DATEas DAT

  • mnelson52

    Glad Harris dropped that pass

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Lol

  • Heilios

    Miscommunication with Kelce

  • Heilios

    Bad pass again. Man

    • mnelson52

      Smith looking bad

  • ladner morse

    What the H

  • Homer Dave

Smith needs to get his head out of his 4th point of contact. He does know half time is over, right?

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

We are up against a bad *ss defense guys

    • Heilios

We should be blowing them out though

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

It’s very tough to blow out the best defense in the league

        • Homer Dave

          this is true.

        • Heilios

A couple better throws and a few non dropped passes and it would be utter destruction

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Better throws happen against defenses that aren’t #1 in the league…lol

          • Heilios

            I’ll give you that one

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            😀
            I knew I could wear you down…lol

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          That’s true.
          Good D’s make plays.

          The strategy is working well.

Not pretty, but working and the past two weeks didn’t.

        • ladner morse

But from now until we face Denver in week 17 the toughest D we face is Miami and they are a #10 defense.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

D rankings can change quite a bit between week 8 and week 17 as teams get worse and better

          • mnelson52

No problem. We will play down to their level so the games will still be nail biters.

          • Heilios

Get some ice for that burn! Lol

    • Homer Dave

poor QB’ing since the half ain’t helpin’. Jus’ sayin’.

    • mnelson52

That’s why I’m so frustrated at blown opportunities.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Agreed

  • Dave

Alex is regressing fn crap show tonight

  • Dave

These Chiefs aren’t beating Dallas, Bills this season or Pats or Steelers in the post season

    • Homer Dave

waaaaaaay to early to say ANY of that.

  • Homer Dave

something to remember is that Kc is still playing banged up folks, sure, 9 days off and all that but they have had a hard march.

  • Heilios

Time to stop the run. Any time now guys

    • JimHarbaughsguys

When a team commits to it, KC can’t stop it.

      • Heilios

That’s why we need to run up the score and make them go to the pass

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          Not really arguing that point.
But, Denver is rated 1 or whatever for a reason.
Had KC not allowed Hill to pass (won’t see that again in his career) or Fisher decides to stop somebody on the AS fumble, KC has another 6 points now (minimum). 26-3 with 1.5 quarters left is a good game.

  • Homer Dave

just when I was starting to like Peters again, he ran away from that tackle right there.

    • mnelson52

I will never like Peters. I will cheer for him to play well because he’s a Chief, but I think he is a thug at heart

  • Heilios

Gotta hold them guys. No score here

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Wow

  • Heilios

Fowler had that. That should have been a Denver score there.

  • Dave

we sure are getting lucky tonight

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Can’t blame Siemian there

  • mnelson52

    Sloppy game by both teams

    • JimHarbaughsguys

rivalry games often are wouldn’t you agree?

  • JimHarbaughsguys

This whole drive by Denver has been on the ground.
New way to make a comeback vs KC if they are beating you by a lot. run the ball on them.

    • Dave

or throw on them if your quarterback isn’t trevor seimen

      • JimHarbaughsguys

You can go get yourself Hoyer (starting day Niners QB) if you think he is much better.
        Hint: He isn’t.

        • Heilios

          I like your hint there.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

            Just to stop any confusion.

  • ladner morse

Chiefs D playing bad but getting lucky breaks.

    • Heilios

Ridiculously lucky. That should have been a TD there

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

After the bad breaks we have gotten the last two games…..we’re due.

  • Homer Dave

He, I’m not sure who to even blame anymore. Sutton for the scheme, the players for wrapping up, Oakland for raising CBs who can’t tackle, Godzookie for only blowing rings, or this dome Celtics commercial with a cardboard cut-out singing about going solo. I’m just so damn confused.

    • Heilios

That solo song is just horrible sounding

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      ??????

  • Dave

    feels like three and out

  • Homer Dave

    is Smith concussed?

    • mnelson52

      looks confused

      • Homer Dave

        looks… off.

  • Heilios

Bad throws bad throws bad throws. Smith better be careful because the most popular person on the team is the backup quarterback.

    • ladner morse

      Hehe

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Send everybody and the Chiefs fold like a wet suit…..works every time

    • mnelson52

      or just half

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Half is just 5, which is just one stinking blitzer.

    • ladner morse

I just don’t know why the WRs aren’t being held accountable for reading the blitz too so they can break their routes over the middle if they see it coming and give Alex a target.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

They are going to go with the giving the QB the back of their jerseys target maneuver. Fools the CB’s EVERY TIME

  • Dave

maybe we get just as lucky next week and elliott starts his suspension

    • Heilios

When is that ever going to happen?

  • ladner morse

    Need Houston’s to be Houston

  • Heilios

    Ford is out?

  • Homer Dave

Stick a fork in Ford, he’s done.

  • Heilios

What the hell is that? Weaving around everyone

  • Homer Dave

Acker been watching Peters too much, he avoided that tackle just as well as Marcus ever did,

  • Heilios

    That hole closed quick

  • ladner morse

Reid had them on the ropes… then rope-a-doped himself with the trick play.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Momentum hasn’t really been there for either team since that play.
which works for KC since they had the nice lead at that time.

      • tm1946

A td and broncos are back in it.

    • mnelson52

      Yep

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Holding

  • but the chiefs are not putting this game away. I am again, pissed at the defense.

  • Heilios

Coach looks mad about that penalty

  • mnelson52

    Denver getting momentum

  • Heilios

    Stop them

    • JimHarbaughsguys

3rd and 10 they sure should

      • Heilios

        Nope

  • Homer Dave

Peters, once again, going for the ball….love it when it works but otherwise…

  • tm1946

What the devil happened to Ford?

    • Homer Dave

      ran out of vagisil.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        You’re mean
        : )

      • Heilios

What’s the matter? A little extra cheese on the taco?

  • Heilios

    Of course not

  • mnelson52

This D really sucks against the run

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Has in every stinking game this year.

    • Dave

they suck as well against the pass

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Then just do a suicide blitz sending everybody on every play.

  • Homer Dave

that call was b.s. Thomas was waaay worse

    • Heilios

      Yup

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

He pulls on Ackers helmet and Acker gets the flag–lol

  • mnelson52

We had 2 score last Thursday and found a way to lose

  • Heilios

    Well hell

  • tm1946

broncos back in the game…. second half the defense has bent

    • Dave

offense blows second half as well

    • ladner morse

      Ben bent over

  • ladner morse

    Drives me nuts.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Blatant holding…lol

  • mnelson52

Everyone talks about Denver’s weak O-line, but we’re sure making them look like good run blockers.

    • berttheclock

Romo said picking up Leary from Dallas was the best FA move this year.

      • mnelson52

Yes, but other teams stop them

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    5.5 ypc for Anderson now.

Seems like they figured out to not pass with Seimen.
KC needs to score something more if Denver doesn’t change their tactic.

    • Dave

yea the Chiefs are likely to come and go three and out

  • tm1946

Typical Reid get a lead and we get back into trouble. No killer instinct on our team.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Drives me nuts about Reid

    • Dave

yea its not even frustrating any longer, you expect this shit

    • Homer Dave

if that Hill play would have paid out Reid would be hailed as a genius…but nope,

      • tm1946

If frogs had wings they would not bump their asses….if…..

        • Homer Dave

had one of those once, so much fun.

  • Homer Dave

okay, okay, okay….Kc needs some ILBs worse than anything else. This is ridiculous. DJ ain’t DJ, Garland is a no-show, Safetys make bad Mikes, and if it is true that it all starts in the trenches then the trenches ain’t crappola without sufficient shoring.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

What I had been screaming since the playoff game, and I was certain that KC would draft one if not two in the first few rounds

      • berttheclock

But, but, but, we needed to trade up to 10 and over pay and not really pickup on the major problems shown in the last playoff game. But, we do have that Savior of the QBOTF with his Mega Buck contract, eh?

We did not add a QB with the 27 pick, but, compare the difference in salaries and guarantees between a 10 pick and a 27 pick.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

Bad move. Giving up 2 1’s for him is I’m sure in part why Dorsey got fired.
And that was warranted when you look at just how bad the KC D is vs the run. They can’t stop anybody.

  • berttheclock

Bob “Lazurus” Sutton. The only DC who can resurrect dead offenses.

    • ladner morse

      Real miracle worker.

  • ladner morse

This running on first down is making me ill.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

We are not going up the middle on Denver Reid…..

  • JimHarbaughsguys

How come the KC OL/Hunt can’t play vs the KC DL?
Imagine what Hunt could do in that game.

    • Heilios

It would be a thing of legends

    • berttheclock

The KC offense would score 60 on the KC defense, unless Andy Reid got cute.

  • Dave

3 rd and 10 i am guessing a five yard play incoming

  • Heilios

Smith and the hard count saved us

    • Dave

      not yet

  • Heilios

Way too high of a throw. Great catch by Kelce though

    • mnelson52

Most catches tonight have been good because the throws were bad.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    A first down!!!
I feel like celebrating as if we scored a TD!

  • Homer Dave

I’m actually starting to believe this offensive thingy is worse than we are imagining. Yeah, Broncos have 13 (woo-hoo) but Kc has 12 yards offense since the half. TWELVE!. It was just the other day that KC had what, 6 yards all in a single half? Yup, KC is playing some good defenses but I have to wonder how much of that is KC’s offense making them look good just as the KC defense makes other offenses look good.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Our OL is junk man

      • tm1946

Fisher and the guys get a lot of love for their play….. not sure why?

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

          Me neither

      • Homer Dave

starting to worry it is more than that. Tape is a revealing thing my friend.

    • Dave

the offense and defense is worrisome thought we would get much better play from a lot of players. kind of knew the DBs were all crap but the Dline and line backer play is surprising

  • ladner morse

Needed that 1st down like a Batman needs his Robin.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Need that 4th quarter Hunt attack where he gets like 80% of his yards now.

  • Heilios

What do you think we would have to package with Gaines to trade him away?

    • Homer Dave

      a bottle of water

      • Heilios

Man. That’s awful pricey. I think we could swing it though

        • JimHarbaughsguys

It sure is pricey in Flint

    • ladner morse

Joe Montana because NO-ONE would want him.

      • Heilios

        In his prime

      • Homer Dave

I’d take that trade for Montana in his prime, as Helios interjected down below,

  • Heilios

See what happens when you hit Kelce in stride? Good things! Good things!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Smith got a little time there

  • Heilios

Man Hunt just isn’t getting much tonight.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Love me some Harris.
Why didn’t KC go after Vernon Davis and dump Harris for him? They would be so much better off.

  • mnelson52

We need a TD but that penalty made even a FG hard

  • tm1946

Have we decided to try to run out the clock with a 6 point lead.

    • Homer Dave

lol, reminds of that game a couple years ago when Reid 10 point lead I the 1st quarter and tried to ride it out.

  • Heilios

Smith could have hit Hunt in the flat

    • mnelson52

      saw that

      • Heilios

Wide open could have got the first. It looked like he was trying to bring Hill back to him to make the throw

  • Heilios

Field goal unit coming out. Butker save us

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Golden

  • Heilios

    Beautiful Butker!

  • Homer Dave

Buttkicker is clutch. Been not so nice knowing you Santos.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Needed that.

  • berttheclock

Veach made the pickup of Butker, but, credit Dave Toub for scouting him. He had him rated as the best FG kicker coming out of the draft and they kept their eyes on him after he was drafted.

  • Homer Dave

the only returnable Buttkicker kick has been a squib kick.

  • Homer Dave

    Acker is roadkill

  • Heilios

    Acker playing far far off

  • tm1946

Sutton is running a killer prevent defense.

    • Heilios

      I hate prevent

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        It’s better than allowing defense.

        • Homer Dave

          it’s the same difference

        • Heilios

Its pretty much the same thing here

    • Homer Dave

      lmbo, good one.

  • mnelson52

Lot of time left. I’m not sure that’s enough. Offense has only managed one TD and one bad play can change everything in a game this close. Denver also seems to be getting a little more going offensively

    • tm1946

One talking head said the Chiefs should win 31 – 10…. we would control the game from start to finish.

      • mnelson52

It was going that way till the Andy dandy INT special in the end zone

        • Homer Dave

that really was a telling moment. I usually hate the premise of “one play”, but that actually was one of them. Kept the game from being a blow-out and breathed life into a flaccid Denver offense.

  • berttheclock

Acker is not a corner. In HS at Grant in Portland, he was a QB and safety. He beefed up this past summer to play safety, but, he is NOT a corner.

    • Homer Dave

      well, that’s evident enough.

      • berttheclock

        DUH!

        • Homer Dave

see!? it’s not so hard to agree is it?

  • Heilios

    Dirty Dan get in there!

  • Heilios

    Man its loud there

  • Heilios

Jesus he scrambled for like 10 minutes

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Broncos have more than double KC’s rush yards. In KC no less. Shocker to nobody at all. KC allows runners to get their thing on in KC.

    • mnelson52

Just ask Bell. KC had a whole year to figure out how to stop him, and he lit them up again.

  • Heilios

    Get loud

  • Heilios

    DJ making the play!

  • Homer Dave

Wait, I thought DJ had passed away!

  • JimHarbaughsguys

I would have ran it if I were Denver.
    Dumb.

    • Heilios

      That would have made sense

      • JimHarbaughsguys

I got a choice between handing the ball to the guy who got Denver back in the game, or the guy who put Denver in the hole they are in with his 2 INT’s, and I choose that guy over the one who got us back in the game?

Geez. Nice to know dumb coaches don’t solely reside in SF.

  • ladner morse

    It was time for DJ

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Time for Hunt now.

  • Heilios

Stop running it up the middle damnit

    • JimHarbaughsguys

I thought I read earlier that Hunt is a up the middle type of RB.

    • Homer Dave

how many Hunt runs do you remember breaking out to the outside this year without being a toss of screen? Jus sayin.

  • mnelson52

We’re still finding ways to hurt ourselves

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Fisher should apply as a temp worker for every team KC is playing that week since he does so much to aid that team in winning, or staying in the game.

  • Heilios

    He got it

  • Heilios

    Bad spot

    • mnelson52

      yep

  • Homer Dave

Fisher still ain’t good….and Smith never, ever, planned on throwing that ball.

  • Heilios

    Ok they fixed it

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Teams can close the gaps on us in record speed

    • Homer Dave

lol, it was someone a couple years back that said it best, and I paraphrase. “Kc is the only team that can have a 2 score lead in the fourth and make me nervous”

  • Heilios

Running the wildcat. We need some life on offense

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Flea flicker!

  • JimHarbaughsguys

KC can’t get the run game going. AS has only 17 fewer yards on 13 fewer carries.

  • Heilios

    Go buttkicker

  • Heilios

    Damn Butker is great!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Yep.
Got just enough offense on that drive to get that FG.

      • Heilios

        Reid’s plan all along!

        • mnelson52

Reid’s plan is moving the clock whether he scores or not. The FGs are what’s saving us though

          • JimHarbaughsguys

It seems to me that KC is playing one dimensional (pass) and they don’t get a lot of time to get that going. Denver has totally eliminated the KC run attack.

If you play 1 dimensional vs the top rated D, this is the type of game you’ll get.
            Is that wrong?

    • Homer Dave

51 and had room for about, I dunno, 50 or so more, lol.

  • Homer Dave

Smith owes Buttkicker his paycheck….absolutely keeps saving the offense butts.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Smith gets Buttkicker down there in FG range

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Who else has gotten the yards tonight?

      • Homer Dave

yeah, I’ll give you that, but at a 51 yard attempt I have to add “barely”.

  • mnelson52

Alex has been terrible tonight. He’s made a few good plays, but has missed a lot.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

QBs generally look bad against Denvers D

  • Heilios

Field goal range usually isn’t 50+ yards. Butker is just great. Santos would have never been able to do that even with a 15 mph wind at his back

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

How in the world did he hold onto that ball after that hit

    • Homer Dave

I thought he was dead. KPL laid the wood on him.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Could be a zombie now I suppose

        • Homer Dave

Daryl will take care of him.

  • Homer Dave

holy crap, Buttkicker has worn out his leg picking up Smith’s slack so much tonight, lol. That last kick was returnable.

  • Heilios

Denver fans everywhere must be outraged

  • Heilios

    Acker interception!

  • Heilios

Here come Butker for the field goal!

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Lol

    • Homer Dave

      lol, stop poking the bear!

    • mnelson52

Hope so. If not we lost the ball

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Ackers like…..look what I found!!

    • mnelson52

And then stumbled on his own feet

  • Heilios

I could have sworn Reid would have cut out the middle man and just marched out the field goal unit

    • Homer Dave

      time, man, time.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

We have averaged about 30 points against the might Denver D over the last few years.

  • Heilios

Quit throwing the damn ball to Harris! Stop it now!

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Don’t know why Denver gives the ball to the QB to try to win it. Dude, your RB is what brought you back into this game!

  • Homer Dave

WAIT!!!! Harris didn’t catch that!? perish the thought.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I guess Smith is to blame for that?

    • Homer Dave

      yes, yes he is, lol.

    • Heilios

Yes for throwing it to Harris

      • Homer Dave

        Haha, great point!

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Lol….you got me there

      • Heilios

He would have been better spiking the ball

      • mnelson52

        Yes. He knows better

        • Heilios

Or at least he should by now!

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Put Hill in Harris’ jersey then.
Hill never did make up for that INT and his false start as WR (inexcusable at home especially)

      • Homer Dave

Haha, you won the internet for the night!!

  • ladner morse

    Eric Enron is available. 🙂

    • ladner morse

      Ebron

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I think JC envisioned a much different homecoming

  • Heilios

Just letting him run all he wants huh?

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Got to give Vegas their points

      • Homer Dave

^this^, I starting to swear by this more and more that I watch football. I really am starting to think the entire “reviews go to New York” thing is a little too convenient.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Why doesn’t KC take a cue from the other team then and do the same?

        • Homer Dave

pretty sure that’s not how Vegas works.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

I mean the holding by the OL, and not getting it called.
If any team can use it, it’s KC

          • Homer Dave

            just having fun man.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Why change?

  • ladner morse

Broncos season is over if they lose to Eagles next week.

    • mnelson52

      And they should lose

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I think WE might would lose to the Eagles if we played that game again

  • mnelson52

Denver will get their garbage TD

  • Heilios

Dirty Dan came in laying wood.

  • Homer Dave

Denver is getting away with some incredible holds right now. This is nuts.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

The norm this season….i’m thinking the word came from above for more offense

  • Heilios

Roughing the passer? Did I miss something?

    • Homer Dave

you a Ref? is so, yes, about a thousand offensive holds.

  • Heilios

I love seeing Elway looking all distraught and sad

  • ladner morse

    Full Nelson

  • mnelson52

    Nelson hurt

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Was that Nelson limping?

  • ladner morse

    Nelson limping????

  • Heilios

Don’t let them score. If you do I will lose my mind. I hate nailbiters!

  • Heilios

    Of course Nelson is hurt.

    • mnelson52

How else can we get Gaines more time

      • Heilios

Holy God above have mercy. Cut Gaines!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s
  • ladner morse

    Eric Murray. Of course.

  • Heilios

Ezekiel Elliott suspension is happening. He lost his court hearing

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    And the chant begins….

  • ladner morse

I said 27-to-17 so I’m not too far off… for the first time.

  • mnelson52

    I would try to score

    • Heilios

      If only

    • JimHarbaughsguys

I’m guessing Hill tries to pass the ball on the next play to get that TD

  • Heilios

Laddie how much do you think the Ezekiel Ellitt suspension will affect us next week?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Not much.
Put any RB vs KC run D and they will have a very good day

  • mnelson52

Why use K Hunt for that play

  • Heilios

    Hunt needs his yards!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

I’m guessing you meant positive yards, not negative.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Denver has out rushed KC by almost 100 (98) yards.

  • Homer Dave

Kc has some serious soul searching to do. Getting healthy would help a bunch but at the same time the squad has some serious holes. Denver is a great defense but this game should have been a LOT different.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Let buttkicker try a 70 yard FG

    • Heilios

He’s got this. Hold his beer.

    • Homer Dave

let’s at least make it difficult, geesh.

  • Heilios

I wonder if Buttkicker can punt too?

  • Heilios

    Keep them in bounds!

  • Heilios

Its over folks. That was an ordeal.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Are we the worst of the 6-2’s?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      who knows.
      Who else is 6-2?

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Patriots
        Steelers
        Bills ?

        • JimHarbaughsguys

KC beat NE, and lost to Steelers, so that is a wash.
Don’t know if they can beat Bills, but I suspect they can.

    • tm1946

Is it possible to be worst anything when 6 – 2

  • berttheclock

A win is a win is a win, but, this is not a very good overall football team.

    • tm1946

      Or questionable coaching when leading.

      • Chiefly Bacon

This. You don’t get to be 6-2 with a bad team, but they’re gonna lose some more games if Chiefs don’t learn to keep their foot on the throttle.

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I didn’t say we were a bad team…..my question was, of the 6-2 teams, where are we.

        • berttheclock

Losing Berry hurt this team the most, but, several of our wins have come against teams which have suffered losses to star players. For example, Sanders did not play tonight. When, we beat the Pats, they lost their top defensive player. The Texans lost their top two defensive players.

          • berttheclock

Fletcher Cox did not play for the Eagles against us. I doubt if we played the Eagles again, we would win.

          • Chiefly Bacon

We also played most of those teams missing important players on our side as well. Defense has problems, offense is great when Reid pulls his head out of his @#$.

    • ladner morse

      Do you mean “great”?

Seems like a good team. Just not yet great.

  • Chiefly Bacon

Chiefs lacking killer instinct right now. Come out firing on all cylinders and than phone it in once they’ve got the lead. Fatigue is a factor there. Bye week should help.

    • Homer Dave

that’s my hope as well, but we still have to survive Dallas and a Dub sure would help. Reid and company need to drum up one more emotional game before the bye, then they can regroup for a week or so.

    • mnelson52

I think we will lose in Dallas unless they don’t ride the Elliott train. Chiefs have not been able to stop the run against bad teams. I hate to think what one of, if not the best O-line in the NFL with a top RB like Elliott can do to us. Cowboys will use a lot of clock with the run, so we better get TDs on about every possession to have a chance in my opinion.

  • Homer Dave

My lord KC has a manner of keeping other teams in the games each and every week. So many holes so I’m just going to kick back and enjoy being 6-2.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s
    • Homer Dave

      OOOOooooohhhhh that’s a good look. I likey!!

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

The loss column is the one that matters, but seeing us 3 games up on everyone in the W column in the division is awful Purty!

    • mnelson52

Since we lost to Steelers AGAIN, we are sitting at the #2 seed. We may fall to 3 after the Dallas game. KC has no answer for that type of running game. It will also be hard next year to get a top ILB since we won’t be picking till late in 2nd round. We might have to let AS11 go even if he gets us to the SB to have money for LBs and corners in FA.
