In Greater Portland, we have the Vikings-Redskins on FOX and the Steelers-Colts on CBS. Time to head out for some shopping.

Seems the better games to watch will be on later.

    • I have things to do. waiting for the late games. We have VIkes game and I guess the Colts here as well. Off to get some things done myslf.

I don’t know if any one watched the OU/TCU game last night, but there were several good players on the field. The sophomore RB from OU, Rodney Anderson, had a really good first half, in the second half, the OU coach kinda pulled and Andy Reid and went ll conservative. Mayfield had a good game again, and this was against a TCU defense rated in the top 10. On the defensive side of the ball OU has a 6-4 335 DT, Du’Vonta Lampkin. He’s just a sophomore, but might be worth keeping an eye on. OU also a true freshman at CB, Norwood, that played a good game.

Even with the loss to OU, I still like Bryce Patterson, the TCU HC, to move up into the NFL ranks. He is only 57. He has learned a great deal about coaching various positions since his days as a player for K-State.

Ballard has much to do with the Colts. But, so far, I like some of his moves. Picking up a talented Brissett from the Pats has helped. Plus, he claimed Pierre Desir, the former Washburn and Lindenwood DB, off waivers on September 3rd. Desir has the lone pick of Big Ben, today. Who would have guessed the Colts could hold the Steelers to only 100 yards of offense in the first half?

Colts are up on the Steelers 17-to-9 in the 3rd quarter. Here’s hoping they can hold on.

    How about them UDFAs, eh?

Case in point is Case Keenum coming out of Houston in 2012 was undrafted. In the so-called weak class of 2013, Adam Thielen from Minnesota State went undrafted. Plus, he was a walk on to the Vikings, but, was a last cut and went through waivers. Then, the Vikings brought him back to their PS.

Today, Keenum and Thielen are putting on a clinic against the Redskins. Wonder if Dorsey ever considered putting in a claim for Thielen back in 2013?

The Jaguars were able to flaunt the will of the Zebras. Colts weren’t so lucky. Lot of suspicious calls this year.

Watched about 10 min before half and now a few minutes of Dal. vs Atl. Does it seem cowboys are trying to play like it was the Chiefs and ATL is executing the crap out of their offense and cowboys are chasing everything… or is it just me?

Yes I skipped the other games…. leaves, wife, and a general disagreement with kneeling and I needed the vacation.

Dallas’ starting LT missed the Atlanta game and they also lost Ezekiel Elliot to suspension. That’s basically the Cowboys two best players.

Look at what a game manager can do in a game. Would you believe that for 2 straight games, Drew Brees has not thrown a TD pass? Yet, today, the Saints put up 47 points. Imagine what a team can do when you have a solid blocking offensive line and two running backs who can carve up a defense for over 300 yards. Means your defense is not as gassed as usual.

Did you note the quality performance of Buffalo’s backup QB Nathan Peterman?
