Week 17: Chiefs at Broncos – OPEN THREAD

There’s a new sheriff in town. If only for a day. While this game seems to be all about the performance of Patrick Mahomes II, it is also a showdown of sorts between Mahomes and his Denver counterpart, Paxton Lynch. However, this game will be more of a battle between the Broncos defense and the Chiefs quarterback of the near future.

Some fans may be wondering why Patrick Mahomes is projected to become the starter in 2018 and the answer is: it all comes down to cap space… and the value the Chiefs can get for Alex Smith now as opposed to next offseason (which is nothing except a 3rd round compensatory pick the year following that).

Head coach Andy Reid says this is not a “try-out” for Mahomes but merely a chance to get in some NFL snaps. I say hogwash. If Mahomes comes out and looks like Nathan Peterman… I doubt you’ll find the Chiefs shopping Smith this offseason. So, for those of you who are not Patrick Mahomes fans… you should be hoping he pulls-a-Peterman with 5 INTs like he did on November 19 — never mind, I’m sure you already are hoping for the worst.

I will project the Patrick Mahomes does very well and the the Chiefs defensive backfield has multiple picks today. So, if you are hoping for a Mahomes Meltdown with extra cheese… you’ll likely to be highly disappointed today.

I’m going with: Chiefs 28, Broncos 13.

If it is a move they “need” to make, more power to them. There seem to be a few veteran HC’s still hanging around and owners trying to buy the magic they once had. Also we have a need to bring on board the next era of HC’s and neither of them seem to fit that description to me. They seem like nice guys/professional but nice/mature… not sure that is the style that fans/GMs/owners are enamored with currently. Lastly, they would be considered to come from the Reid family tree of coaches….. IMO, only…. not a plus

If we have a 15 point advantage (you said it – not me) Reid might let Hunt in for some clean up yards?

      • ladner morse

I won’t be surprised if Hunt plays the first quarter…

        • tm1946

When you consider it… would take a little heat off Mahomes and settle any butterflies…. run the ball, Hunt gets his yard for the record book, Mahomes gets a feel for being on the field…. seems like a win, win.

          • Laurels and limitations

Reid/Nagy will probably come out conservative, but I’m not sure that Mahomes has conservative IN him, well at least not the ability to sublimate that aggression all game in anyway.

          • tm1946

Think I said this before… if a QB has a HC/OC (whatever) who has a game plan and the QB goes rogue…. said QB will end up on the bench…. Not sure about these coaches but some have a rep that does not allow a QB to do a lot of free lancing on the field. Also Mahomes is making his first start…. if he thinks he knows it all and goes wild…. hello bench.

Late addition…. if the QB was a Dion Sanders type, might be a consideration…. Mahomes seem more thoughtful than that.

          • Laurels and limitations

I’m not buying that too much. If Reid even has a bit of common sense (and 17 years as a HC in the NFL alludes to that he indeed does) then he will scheme to his player’s strengths. It makes absolutely zero sense to bring a thoroughbred horse to the race then hobble it’s rear legs.

Mahomes being allowed to be Mahomes, perhaps losing yet learning, is more valuable a lesson than benching him. Besides, do you really believe they would bring Bray in over Mahomes for anything less than Mahomes stealing Reid’s burger?

          • tm1946

Scheme for your QB is the right way to go…. but Reid has seen a lot of QBs come and go and he is still around as a HC. So there is scheming and then there is scheming. Still Mahomes first start. I doubt Reid will allow Mahomes to be a mad bomber, not his (Reid) style, is it?

Also most rookie QBs tend to run to save plays. Just what they do to extend a play that does not open up. I am betting Reid will try to get him to throw away balls as opposed to running (in the NFL with 300+ DL quicker than snakes).

          • Laurels and limitations

Thing is, even though Mahomes CAN scramble, he’s a pocket QB. PM2 in an interview for KC-whoever once admitted that scrambling is not his strongsuit and that he understands that he is more “quick than fast” (PM2’s quoted words.

          • PaulFromNorthMo

If I’m not mistaken, the Chiefs lead the NFL in 20+ yard plays, and that’s with a weak armed QB. I think Reid has started changing his style this year to prepare for next. Having Hill on the field (which we won’t this game) makes getting those long gains easier, but we have attempted them to others also. If only Wilson could catch!

          • ladner morse

Not seeing it. Even if he does throw 5 INTs……….. Reid has a policy on guys who flub up… send em in again.

          • Laurels and limitations

A la Hunt’s very first career NFL carry.

          • tm1946

Both of you are correct…. for a RB, WR, or defender…. but isn’t a QB a different animal… no one on roster to replace him (I know Alex). He has to go back out there but not make the same mistake or learn from it… a QB can cost you the game if he does not learn.

          • Laurels and limitations

Yup, very true, a QB having a bad day is way worse than nearly every other position except for Center, imho.

          • Laurels and limitations

That statement depresses the hell-outta-me. Smith HAS been the best QB KC has had in over a decade (I don’t think he’s a better QB than Trent Green, Smith is just a better athlete)…and he is largely inconsistent.

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Green stood behind one of the greatest OL of all time and handed of the ball to the great Priest Holmes, so with all those playoff games Green won for us I can understand what you mean……..oh wait….

          • Laurels and limitations

Haha, true, true….but Smith hasn’t done any better in that regard. The Super Bowl is the only goal that matters, so until then….

          • PaulFromNorthMo

But then Green never had a defense on the field when he wasn’t that could shut someone down or take the ball away. Let alone score points to win a game.

I remain solid in saying I will not watch this game, even though some young “HIghly Intelligent” person said I was an ignorant old man for saying so. However, I will look at the results afterwards to see how well the “Savior” of this team will have played CB, both LB spots, defensive line and offensive line which were all the areas Dorsey really needed to address after losing in the playoffs last year. The current QB had nothing to do with those losses and Dorsey did little to really address the issues. So, let Dorsey’s Folly roam today.

    • tm1946

Suggest you will miss an interesting game. We may actually get a glimpse of some starters for next year. Money cuts will have to be made and with only 4 draft picks and normal attrition will requires some reserves become starters… or else. We are having a little fun with the Mahomes start but he can easily be the next hottest thing or just a good player… still takes a 53 man roster to survive a season. To me that is the interesting part.

As for the new “mouth” on this site…. he will probably lose interest and go where he came from…. By the by…. ignorant old man…. has been the high point of the day for me several times (especially if the wife is frying chicken… love frying chicken and hot wife).

SEE…. I am telling you…. some reserves are playing themselves to become starters and some will be looking for jobs or be training camp bodies… The Chiefs will be playing football for years to come…. new bodies are necessary …. otherwise, give me Lenny Dawson, Taylor, Lanier, Lynch, Robinson, and THE GREATEST CHIEF – BOBBY BELL…. any/every time.

Good take, my man, good take.

          • berttheclock

  • berttheclock

Who better to know about the new “Savior” than Doug Hudson, who was a 7th round draft pick out of Nichols State. After coming to the Chiefs, his record at QB was a 39.6 rating. His only time to play was against the Broncos where he fumbled a hand off and was tackled in the end zone for a safety.

    • tm1946

But he got on the field in a game…. check off that dream.

      • berttheclock

He would make a great trivia question as most would have said the last QB drafted by the Chiefs would have been Steve Stenstrom from Stanford. He was a 4th round pick. Remember, in college, he broke Elway’s passing records.

        • tm1946

Hey, I liked him… might have been a case of wrong team, wrong coach…. or maybe he was just a good college QB

          • berttheclock

What will be interesting about the upcoming draft is to see if Dorsey can, finally, break the curse of drafting QBs for the Browns. I don’t think any team has drafted more QBs with less success than the Browns since 2002. In 2004, they even passed over Big Ben.

          • tm1946

Give Dorsey props… like to see Browns get better and kick some Pitts rear on a regular basis. But I will probably skip the draft….we are not going to get much from it and I am more than ignorant about college players…. besides it is 2 degrees w/wind chill of -14 this morning when I walked the dogs. Speaking of coaches moving forward, there are reports at ESPN NFL that Gettleman, the new GM of the Giants, is going to interview the Eagles’ DC, Jim Schwartz, for the open HC job with the Giants. This will begin a chain of events. Even Mike Vrabel, the DC of the Texans, who has had to mix and match to try to make up for so many injuries is being considered as prime material to move up. Other reports say the HC job of the Texans may stay with their current HC. Possibly, McNair is going to give him a pass on not having his top QB in action.

AS is a good qb and definitely having a pro bowl year. Obviously I have no idea how PM will do today or in the future. Just using the eyeball test he does things that very few qbs can do but IS he the next Rogers, Favre or Manning? I dont think anybody knows for sure. My biggest question is can AS take the chiefs to the SB? In my opinion, I don’t think so. I realize it is not just up to him but teams with elite qbs consistently have a good chance to at least go to the SB. Of course , there are always the Flaccos so I can always hope that AS can repeat history.

    • berttheclock

What few here with the exception of CKA realize is how close Alex Smith was in taking the Niners to the SB. It was not his fault that a punt was muffed late in the championship game.

      • berttheclock

Last week, I saw Ted Ginn, Jr score a TD for the Panthers. He was supposed to be the punt returner in that game I just mentioned. However, he was injured in the game and a newbie was inserted to field the punt.

Good points, and question. My stance is rooted in the fact that Alex Smith has been granted every, single, thing necessary in order to be successful. Not just regular season successful but Super Bowl successful. #1 Wr= check, Best TE in the league= arguably check, Premier RB= check, sustained offensive scheme= check. There are a ton of things that go into winning a Super Bowl, luck weighs in just as heavily as talent a lot of times but if Smith can’t do it this year- he never will in a Chief’s uniform.

Until Ben and Brady are gone Chiefs are not going to the SB. Even if the Chiefs are as good as Steelers and Pats, the refs will give all the breaks to the teams not called Chiefs. It’s kinda like umps in baseball giving the best pitchers the largest strike zones.

As a kid growing up in KCK, I became an American League fan as the KC Blues, the farm club of the Yankees, then, the A’s coming in from Philly, held my allegiance to the American League. The same with pro football as I became a diehard fan of the Chiefs in November, 1963 and have remained an AFC fan ever since they merged with the NFL. However, what really strikes me at present is to see only two AFC teams with any chance of defeating the stronger NFC teams. Pittsburgh has the power and players to play well against the Rams or the Eagles. NE, of course, with Brady is dangerous. But, I fail to see how the Chiefs have even improved to be able to defeat Pittsburgh as long as Big Ben both starts and finishes a game for them. The power in matchups this season has gone to the NFC.

    • larry mckinney

You’re going chalk. But on any given day in the NFL…

I will have first hand impressions on your #Chiefs today. I'll be in the stadium.Watch for some Twitter LIVE moments #ChiefsKingdom— Ryan Tracy (@RyanTracyNFL) December 31, 2017

    • tm1946

In the stadium…. he will be mostly cold… film room will show more.

      • Laurels and limitations

hard to say. I know I’ve been to more than a couple games that in live person I understood the play moreso than after watching the tape. It’s a challenge deciphering what actually happens in any given play.

  • tm1946

Getting the NE/Jets game…. would rather have the Browns/Steelers game….

    • mnelson52

Although Pat’s are the better team, it seems the refs still helping them out some.

  • tm1946

Anyone…. tv guy said if Jets beat NE, the Steelers will be worried…. about what?

  • ladner morse
    • Laurels and limitations

why? is my serious question. DAT has displayed questionable talent and worse, at times questionable heart for the game. I cannot get my head wrapped around the hype the coaches try to give DAT.

  • larry mckinney

Don’t drink much. But today I celebrate the inevitable demise of John-boy, the Golden Horsetoothed one here in Denver. The news concerning Vance Joseph has quickly turned to disparagement of Elway, who created this toxic mess called the Donkeys…er, Broncos. Hoist one with me, lads.

  • Chiefly Bacon

Watching Brady play in this weather has me tempering my expectations for Mahomes. Tough to throw and tough to catch in these temperatures.

  • Laurels and limitations

IT’S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!! The not-so-far-future is HERE (for today)!!!

  • Merlin

This will be fun. Will Mahomes play well enough to justify trading Smith?

    • Chiefly Bacon

I think the only thing Mahomes could do is play poorly enough that Chief decide not to trade Smith. I think even a half-way decent effort by him, and Chiefs will move on from Smith next year. Cap space kinda forces their hand.

      • Laurels and limitations

KC spent huge capital on Mahomes, more than they did on Smith as a matter of fact (1-1-4 versus 2-3 turned into a 2). Even if Mahomes goes out and stinks up the entire stadium I’m betting that the FO has more faith in Mahomes developing than Smith remaining relevant. Plus, like you said, that 17M in cap space will help significantly.

        • KCMikeG

Didn’t you hear? Mahomes is being showcased today so Dorsey will give it ALL (2 – 1st & 3 – 2nd’s) to us! AS11 will be our starter and multiple Super Bowl winner for the next 5 years. You heard it here first!

          • Laurels and limitations

            lol, stop….just stop.

    • mnelson52

Doesn’t matter. Smith is gone for cap reasons

  • Laurels and limitations

Well, at least we can prolong the ‘Peters can’t tackle’ argument, lol.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Harris?

    • Laurels and limitations

      yup, Harris- the future, hehe.

      • mnelson52

Funny how he can make those catches but not the routine catches

        • Laurels and limitations

          it is, it is.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Wow…nice

    • Laurels and limitations

      that didn’t take long, huh?

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Elway looked jealous

        • Laurels and limitations

          LMBO, yup

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Super shocked to see Hunt out there

    • ladner morse

I thought they’d give Hunt the first quarter… or until he holds the record.

I guess he holds the record now.

  • Laurels and limitations

LOL, so far I like it!!! 2 cases of the drops and one long completion.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Apparently Harris needs the ball thrown 100 mph into his mitts to be able to compete the catch…….that was an incredibly impressive catch.

      • Laurels and limitations

agreed, that WAS a good catch cuz that ball was thrown on a frozen rope.

  • Chiefly Bacon

Nice drive. Robinson’s hands are cold, but Mahomes is hot.

  • Laurels and limitations

    Gaines

    • mnelson52

      ??

How are they ever going to cover both Hunt and Mahomes?

Ahhh… the future is so bright… I gotta wear shades.

    • Merlin

How are they going to cover Hunt and Hill with Mahomes arm?

      • Laurels and limitations

        and Harris?

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

          Wise guy

      • ladner morse

        I better get a space suit… better coverage… shades aren’t enough.

      • mnelson52

I think they will try to cover with their own arms…lol

    • Laurels and limitations

      VIVA LA MAHOMES!!!!!

  • Laurels and limitations

that should have been a flag on Gaines, oh well, lol

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I thought so too, but the announcers were talking offensive pass interference

      • Laurels and limitations

they were fighting so I think it’s a good no-call. Will be interesting to see if that is maintained throughout the game though.

  • Merlin

Hypothetical question. Chiefs trade Smith and you can sign a near Pro Bowl level player. What would the ideal position be?

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    how long are the ads?
seems like forever since they punted

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    and there it is….

  • Laurels and limitations

    well damn, lol

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Pre-season game.
Expect lots of both (big plays by both teams perhaps and turnovers)

      • Laurels and limitations

        Yup, I expect nothing less.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

I just now saw the Harris play.
Man, Denver doens’t care about this game. That was pathetic of them to not touch him down. it’s like they avoided contact.

Nice pass, and great catch in my opinion.

  • mnelson52

  • mnelson52

    Nice blocking

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      It’s AS fault!!

      • Chiefly Bacon

Truth, if Smith were starting, we’d see a much better OL out there 😉

        • Laurels and limitations

This is factual. We wouldn’t be seeing 2 different Centers in as many series.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

            Or whatever that drive was.

          • Laurels and limitations

            yup, it was bad.

  • Laurels and limitations

Well, as much as I hate to say it….if the o-line is going to let DTs come in unchallenged Reid will have to change up the game plan. Short passes suck. Just why in the Sam Hell couldn’t KC run the full starting o-line this game!?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

if they got hurt, then, well, these guys would play.
And do you see a difference?

      • Laurels and limitations

Yes, there is a huge difference in the two. Injuries happen- Morse hurt and Fulton slides in, Ehinger hurt and Witzman slide in. Mahomes starts and Devey is in at center.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

presesaon game proof on that kick
Why the hell do you get a Delay of game on a punt inside your own 20?
    ugly

  • mnelson52

After the 1st 57 seconds this game turned to crap. Gotta have a little better play in the trenches or this game will change quickly. Can’t play bad on both sides of the ball and win

    • JimHarbaughsguys

no team is really trying to win this game.
Not Denver for sure. I love Hunt, but this is supposed to be a great D, and he ran thru the middle and nobody wanted to tackle him. that after the no attempt tackle on the Harris play.

And if KC were trying, they’d have their starters out. they don’t. So, that tells you everything.

  • Laurels and limitations

Justin Hamilton is a large man.

    • mnelson52

I didn’t realize how big till today

  • Laurels and limitations

    DAT, OH Lordy, lordy.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Just need to add another 99 to that 1 yard and you got something there.

  • mnelson52

    Shoulda let it go

    • Laurels and limitations

my thought also….he caught it at the 5, over his shoulder…not a good choice. Thanks Nagy.

    • ladner morse

Harder to do in a “Prove-it” game.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Just saw the INT.
I sincerely hope that the WR was supposed to run 10 yards further upfield and not cut it so much outside. Because that pass sucked if the WR ran the right route

  • Chiefly Bacon

That’s the last we’ll ever see of DAT.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Yep

    • mnelson52

Yes but I hope the injury isn’t serious enough that he can’t play for someone by OTAs.

  • Laurels and limitations

    looks like a leg splint

  • Laurels and limitations

3 drops, 50 high snaps from Devey….this is crap

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      See.
AS isn’t the cause of those drops or bad OL play.

      • Laurels and limitations

not that easy bub, you know it’s not.

  • Laurels and limitations

    HELL YEAH!!!!!!

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      That was cool

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Akeem Hunt should never be a receiver…..he has other skills but that ain’t one

  • Chiefly Bacon

    Dang!

  • Merlin

Love to see the touch on that swing pass

    • Laurels and limitations

I’m kinda split on that one. On one hand, we assume that he saw a coverage that yelled ‘check-down’ was the safe play but on the other hand we saw Mahomes throw a 3rd down short of the 1st down marker.

  • Laurels and limitations

    did hunt stay in-bounds?

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Bet DAT wished he would have done it like that

  • Chiefly Bacon

I can’t wait to get Spencer Ware back. Akeem Hunt is a returner only.

  • mnelson52

DAT could learn from that punt

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    What happened on 3rd down?
nfl has it being like a 5-10 yard pass behind the los and hunt running .

    • mnelson52

      A. Hunt and it was half yard short

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Reid was pissed off at him

      • JimHarbaughsguys

I wanted to know if the pass was that far behind the los

        • Laurels and limitations

          it was, I call it the Alex-Smith-effect. J/k j/k.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

That was Reid coming to make that play call.
            Geez

  • tm1946

Just got back from the early New Year’s Eve party… how are the backups doing? Mahomes, Kpass, ?

  • tm1946

Tackling has not got a lot better.

    • Laurels and limitations

      nope, still sucks

    • JimHarbaughsguys

From backups and guys knowing not to go all out in order to stay healthy….expected it.

      • tm1946

Still tackling is so basic… entire NFL wants to blow up a ball carrier, to get on espn.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

solid D’s tackle no matter what.
          Not so solid D’s don’t.

KC is NOT a solid D, and it will kill them come playoffs. And Sutton needs to go

          • Laurels and limitations

agreed, KC needs a hard nosed DC.

  • tm1946

Middle seems to be open… bend don’t break

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

While Mahomes looks for the home run on every play, Lynch is dinking and dunking us to pieces.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

He’s Andy Reiding Andy Reid’s team then

      • Laurels and limitations

        LMBO!!!! this is factual

    • JimHarbaughsguys

And there is the dink Home run play

    • Chiefly Bacon

Let’s make it clear, there is NO comparison between Lynch and Mahomes. One is playing with back-ups against starters, other is playing with starters against backups.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Those Denver D starters are not playing all out, and when PM does actually play in games that matter, those are the guys he’d play against.

And KC’s D has stunk no matter who is out there for most of the year.

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

          Denver has missing starters too.

          • Laurels and limitations

            A lot

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Not according to the President of the I Hate Alex Smith club.

          • tm1946

We still got that bunch around…. ?

          • Laurels and limitations

            I thought that was me

          • JimHarbaughsguys

It’s a preseason game. Guys are playing who normally wouldn’t. Guys who would be are not. The energy of this KC at Denver game is likely absent.

  • mnelson52

Tackling doesn’t get much worse than that

  • Chiefly Bacon

Bob Sutton has had a lot of success. If you guarunteed me the tackling would get better without him, I’d fire him in a heart beat.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Not that much.
His ranking of KC’s D has only had one year in top 10. This despite having an offense that is the best at ensuring the D isn’t placed in tough situations, and a great punter who often gets the ball put inside the 10.

Sutton is the luckiest guy in the NFL, and he still can’t lead the D to do anything.

      • Laurels and limitations

Eh, not at all actually. Just last year Sutton’s D scored nearly half of the total points on the season, the offense was the benefactor of a huge positive turnover ratio.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          Not even half.
The D had like 5 TD’s last year. Are you saying the offense only scored 10 TD’s?

          • Laurels and limitations

It was a common statistic, the defense and ST’s scored over 45% of the total points up until the playoffs

    • tm1946

I agree but only if the talent level supports his bend do not break style…. when talent is not at an elite level… his answers seem suspect.

  • Laurels and limitations

    THIS!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Mahomes was looking deep?
    No way

    • mnelson52

      Well said..lol

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I wonder if he feels slighted by playing today?

      • Laurels and limitations

maybe, if he does it’s paying off.

  • tm1946

Darn that Mahomes… .if he got himself hurt on that play… Reid should kick his rear.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Great post.
If the guy is hurt, hurt him more

      • tm1946

Arrowhead has a lovely set of stairs…. let him run until the run is gone.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

      1. any good?
      2. Playing

      • Chiefly Bacon

        1.No
        2.Kinda

    • Laurels and limitations

      BOTH lines are

  • Laurels and limitations

TK finally gets his named called

  • Laurels and limitations

    Oh DR, why Dr, WHHHYYYYYYY!!!!????

    • JimHarbaughsguys

So DAT’s job is safe then?

      • Laurels and limitations

nope, and I still wouldn’t see why.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

isn’t DAT the backup returner normally?

          • Laurels and limitations

Yes, but he lost his job weekly as Toub was continually looking for DAT’s replacement it seemed.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

DATs job wasn’t safe before the injury

  • Chiefly Bacon

Robinson is a lot less developed than I expected.

    • Laurels and limitations

I don’t think returns is his thing…routes, yac, etc….but not returns.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Smith should have hit him there!!!!
Oh sorry….I’m just used to that

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Did I read that right?
Vante Miller is covering a WR deep?

Is Sutton making Denver’s D’s calls as well?

    • Laurels and limitations

Yep, an OLB in coverage actually happens a lot when a receiver comes out late from the backfield. It’s a mismatch that QBs look for.

  • Laurels and limitations

If anyone thinks Mahomes/Wilson won’t be a thing would be mistaken.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Wilson is Mahomes #1 out there today..lol

      • mnelson52

        Wilson only starting WR

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Montana-Rice
      Aikman-Irvin
      Brady- Moss

      and….

      Mahomes-Wilson.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Hahaha!!!

      • Laurels and limitations

        HELLLZ YA!!

      • mnelson52

Maybe with PM IIs arm, he’ll turn into Welker

  • Jeff Morton

    Sherman!

  • tm1946

On defense…. anyone see any player who looks like he will be impacting on Sutton’s bunch next year?

    • Laurels and limitations

From tonight’s bunch? I see a bunch of guys playing for a back-up spot.

      • tm1946

        Even draft picks?

  • Laurels and limitations

    miiiiissed it by THAT much.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

is that a lot or a little?

    • Jeff Morton

      Nice Get Smart reference.

      • Laurels and limitations

        nailed it!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Sherman with that little shimmy to find holes!

  • JimHarbaughsguys

playoff secret weapon for KC offense…
    Sherman!!

    • Laurels and limitations

      Sausage is loving the heat!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Too bad Robinson wasn’t 10′ tall there

    • JimHarbaughsguys

You suggesting he threw it a bit too high?

    • Laurels and limitations

ooooh, look who’s got jokes and stuff, lol.

  • Laurels and limitations

I wish DR would run through….dude has me vexed. It’ll come, it’ll come.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Sherminator!!

  • tm1946

Appoaching 200 yds passing.. make me happy, INT, I saw did not

    • Laurels and limitations

PM2 sailed it, but make no mistake…DAT didn’t even try for the ball, like at all.

  • mnelson52

    That sucked

    • mnelson52

Not Mahomes fault. Robinson should have had 2 TDs

  • Chiefly Bacon

Imagine how many yards Mahomes would have if Robinson could actually catch the ball.

    • tm1946

Few days ago… there was lots of talk about their special bond for the pre season….

      • Chiefly Bacon

Yeah they had a good game together against the Titans.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        yeah.
        I know.
And I gave it 0 cred. Between Robinson and Hill, I’d take Hill. Screw the “special bond”.

        • Laurels and limitations

hehehe, you got me laughing there.

      • Laurels and limitations

        lol, this is true.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

In Mahomes defense….Hill brings that one in

    • Chiefly Bacon

Yeah, that pass was exactly where you want it.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

He did drop one a few weeks back though.

But no doubt. Hill is better.

  • Laurels and limitations

    DR!? ….not so much

  • drwillez37

This kI’d is something special I’m ready to see him under centred with our 1st stringers. ..he’s making all the right throws! !!

    • Laurels and limitations

me and the old lady were just talking about this….I’m giddy for the future.

    • tm1946

With Alex… you get a game manager…. potentially, with Mahomes you get INTs.. no issue either way but with our defense… INTs are more costly.

      • Chiefly Bacon

With our defense, we need a QB who can orchestrate a comeback.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

With INT’s you won’t need to worry about how the team will do in the playoffs since they won’t make it.

        • tm1946

When you drop back to pass…. 3 things can usually happen….two are bad.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

That is why you need a good RB and an OL that gives that good RB a shot.

      • Laurels and limitations

Not seeing the INT danger….the kid sailed one ball so far after spending the entire season on the PS. Plus, if DAT pulls his head out his butt that INT was at least contested.

        • tm1946

Sorry but Mahomes is much more a gunner than Alex… AGAIN not a bad thing…but can make a difference with our defense

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          I saw that INT.

No way can DAT contest a pass that is 5-10 yards over his head and several behind. Like i wrote earlier, maybe he ran a bad route. But if not, that particular pass was piss poor.

          • Laurels and limitations

lots of maybes, and that is my point…you might point to Mahomes, I point to DAT who has a history of running bad routes.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Bright side….Mahomes arm is so strong that his INTs are generally going to be really deep……so just consider it like a punt

        • Laurels and limitations

          silver linings

  • Merlin

Can we end the game right now? We are getting banged up

  • Laurels and limitations

did the Denver fans REALLY just crowd cheer as RNR lay hurt? did I hear that right?

    • tm1946

He went down late…. give them the benefit of the doubt.

      • Laurels and limitations

        I hope so.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      No.
they heard the season will be done, so they cheered

  • mnelson52

    RNR missing could hurt

    • Laurels and limitations

gosh dang right, RNR has been coming on strong as of late,

  • Laurels and limitations

    MOAR WIIIIIIILLLLLSSSOOOOOOOOON!!!

    • tm1946

Tackles like a girl but can find the end zone. LOL

      • Laurels and limitations

Man, dude has been soft tonight…but he saved KC’s butt more than a few times over the last few years when it mattered. Dude keeps getting knocked down but he keeps fighting back….I like him.

        • tm1946

Thinking he could play “iron man” football next year…. backup LB and backup (emergency) RB.

          • Laurels and limitations

            lol

  • Jeff Morton

Seeing that against Den, no matter the setting, will make me happy for at least 2 days.

  • Jeff Morton

So, Bal losing and everyone else (Buf, LAC, Tenn) winning. What does this do to seeding? Anyone?

    • Laurels and limitations

The AFC is pretty much set, but the NFC is damn mess…more later.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Only 1 thru 4 is set

        • Laurels and limitations

          right

        • Jeff Morton

How does NE have the #1? Didn’t Pit beat them?

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            NE won that match up

          • Jeff Morton

Never mind. Just went back and see that NE beat Pit 27-24.

    • TN lead going to the 45th in 3:45 15-3 over Jax. They have the ball and 1st down their own 35. oopsy. Sack at the 25, 2nd 17.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

With the Ravens getting stomped on our first round opponent is still up for grabs…..who is it going to be?

    • Jeff Morton

I like the way you think.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I think we would get Tenn.

        • Jeff Morton

Just checked ESPN, and you’re on it. Buf would get the other WC and go to Jax. McCoy just went out with an injury.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

I was sure the Ravens were in it. They aren’t if they lose?
I think the next team is Tenn. A revenge game for KC if so.

  • Laurels and limitations

well hell, we got an Eligwe sighting

    • tm1946

      That is the guy

  • tm1946

Nice tackle by draft pick LB… no idea how to spell his name

    • Laurels and limitations

      eligwe

    • Laurels and limitations

Tanoh kpassognon? is that right? hell, I don’t know

      • tm1946

Made the next play with a sack…. good/great to see them play well… we will need both next year.

        • Laurels and limitations

You have that right, man. especially a 2nd round pick, they both need to pay off

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          Why not this playoffs?
Who has made sacks for KC this year?

          • tm1946

We are what we thought we were this year. Next year there will be a churning of the roster…. I know, who cares in the middle of a game…. but bodies will have to play next year who are less than impressive this one.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

This game would be a much better indicator for evaluation if it were say week 12 when both teams have something to play for.

Neither team does though. So, you don’t see what these guys can really do when they need to do it.

          • Laurels and limitations

I get what you are cooking here, but I wouldn’t discount completely what we see here. These guys haven’t just been playing a couple of series..they have been the entire game. These guys are a huge part of the future for both teams.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

For comparisons sake, I’m watching the Niners vs Rams game.
The Rams are sitting anybody that matters for the most part while the Niners are playing everybody like they would if it were a playoff game.

The Rams look like crap. I mean, they freaking suck. And the Niners look awesome.

But, one can’t look at this game and determine that the Niners starters can do anything vs the Rams starters. The Rams just don’t care, while the Niners do. So, is one to determine that the Rams don’t have anybody worth a damn for the future of their team while the Niners have everybody? keep in mind that the Rams are the division winners and 2nd seed in the NFC.

          • Laurels and limitations

I’m not arguing that, but I am defending the players on BOTH sides of the KC/DEN game..they are playing for their respective careers.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

As are the guys in the last preseason game. More so in that game than this one. But they also aren’t as good. And in that situation, the game favors the guy with the most athleticism.

            See PM.

Doesn’t mean that carries over to the playoffs or regular season though since those games are played and playcalled very differently by both units on both teams.

          • Laurels and limitations

each situation is so different, imho. You can’t look at SF vs. ?? and compare them to KC vs. ?? on any given day or week. Same goes for players and coaching staffs. Players, ownership, salary cap, etc. etc. play such a huge role. It’s not black nor white…it’s somewhere in the middle.

      • kpassagnon

        • Laurels and limitations

          shoot, I was close

        • tm1946

Of for the days of Bronco Nagurski … simple names

  • mnelson52

    Kpass

  • KCMikeG

Rocky Mountain LOW! To be a bronco!

  • KCMikeG

Good for Wilson – he was having a rough start getting back into the swing of things.

    • Laurels and limitations

I like that he is being given the opportunity…..and not blowing it, lol.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

True…..I bet he is bummed a little knowing he could have two scores today

    • tm1946

      Having a career high season.

  • Jeff Morton

    Bal pulled within 1 score.

    • that was a run to the left, reversed to the right and scored at the right goal line marker. Pursuit on that one was horrible.

  • Laurels and limitations

    WIIIIIIIILLLLLSOOOOOOOON!!!!!

    • you are going to make me doubt my judgement on him are you?

      • Laurels and limitations

I’ve been trying for years now…you’ll come around, hehe.

        • tm1946

And Bert is moving back to KCMO….

          • Laurels and limitations

            too bad.

          • now now.

          • Laurels and limitations

nope, too late for all that. Bert brought this on himself. It’s gonna be fun.

    • mnelson52

      Well said again

  • Heilios

So from the little I’ve seen so far Mahomes seems to be on point.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Zero TDs and one INT….so yeah, pretty much on point

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Seems like lots of short passes. Not a lot of deep ones compared to when AS is in there with Hill.

  • Jeff Morton

I’m just now seeing Jax is playing Fournette and Bortles. Hmm.

  • Laurels and limitations

Let’s just be perfectly honest….Smith never makes this play unless he is playing Mahomes as his QB on Madden….

“Mahomes is slinging it like he’s in Abilene, KS during the days of the Chisholm Trail! Wyatt Earp and Wild Bill Hickock!” Never, ever change @mitchholthus #ChiefsKingdom— Todd Brown (@toddb23) December 31, 2017

  • mnelson52

Wasn’t the play before the Kpass sack also a sack? Lynch was tackled on the sidelines but short of the LOS.

  • tm1946

If interested… Colts Pagano got fired.

    • mnelson52

      Knew that was coming

      • tm1946

        Got no luck

        • JimHarbaughsguys

          Neither does Luck.

          • Laurels and limitations

Pagano was on a mission to kill Luck….I’ve said it a hundred times, but all the colt’s coaching talent left with Arians to Arizona.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

Luck doesn’t play very intelligently though which is a funny notion since he has an IQ rating that may exceed even AS.

          • Laurels and limitations

You ever read how the IQ ratings actually work? they are a fallacy…I’ve been blessed enough to know line workers who were much smarter than the CEOs and it wasn’t even close but if they were both given an “IQ test”, the CEO would be the clear winner. I mean, what does a line worker care about boats? It’s all relative is my point

          • tm1946

            Peter Principal …

      • I think that happens.

    • mnelson52

      Hope Ballard doesn’t take Toub

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Guess he was a better HC when he wasn’t around.

    • Chiefly Bacon

Used to be a heck of a DC, I’d be interested.

      • tm1946

        Bingo

  • exchange by Mariotta to Henry botched, ran into RB, or RB didn’t go outside of QB line of travel, Jax picked it up and ran for TD. 15-10, Titans.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Geez. They suck

  • tm1946

Revis has to cover for Gaines?

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Looks that way

  • mnelson52

I think we found our OLB opposite Houston

    • about time. Hali should be retired and Ford playing in another color jersey.

      • mnelson52

        Yep

      • tm1946

Reminder Ford was a hot commodity until he had to actually move to the side opposite Houston.

        • mnelson52

One good half since entering league

          • tm1946

My point – before anointing Kpass… lets see what he does on Zombo/Hali/Ford side….

        • don’t get me wrong -=- i was saying, give him time. He never dveloped the spin move, did not fight with his hands and a we gave him 4 years.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

Then move Houston to the right end. If he is so good, he should still make plays over there while Ford makes plays on the left side.

All of that is assuming that Ford is actually legit, which I don’t think he is.

  • mnelson52

    Crap

  • Chiefly Bacon

Andy Reid does not care what the fans want lol.

    • tm1946

Wins quiet fans, fills the stadium, sell beer….

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    Why is Bray playing?

and those last two turnovers are just bad

    • Chiefly Bacon

Chiefs have seen enough of Mahomes. Need to see what they have in Bray, he’s a FA soon.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

        18/30 0 TD and 1 INT.

That is not enough of the good stuff. Why stop now?
And who gives a damn about Bray. Think anybody is going to come and steal him from you guys?

        You worried if they do?

No, and No would be my answers.

        • I think the question revolves around 2018, 5th year money. I see no reason to spend it.

          • JimHarbaughsguys

He’s been around since forever, and KC was so “confident” in him as their future to take over from AS that they drafted PM and gave up 2 1’s for him.

            he is done.

          • Laurels and limitations

He’s a cheap 2nd string but I see KC spending late rd picks on development guys just to kick the wheels.

        • Chiefly Bacon

Ugh, we already gonna start with the bad stat analysis? He led two TD drives and another one that should’ve been a TD on a dropped pass. He did all this with backups, pretty much across the board against the league’s 2nd ranked defense. This was a good game for the rookie.

          • Laurels and limitations

a DAMN good game by a rookie….one bad pass in his first regular season NFL game and he’s trash? *smh*.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Bad football

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Don’t get Sherman hurt guys by running him all game.

    • shows Sherman can do more than he is ever missioned, in’t it?

    • tm1946

no BODY left that Reid will allow on the field.

  • Chiefly Bacon

    Booo, boooo.

  • mnelson52

Bray finally gets to play in an NFL game and his 1st play is a bad handoff for a TD opposite direction

    • Bray KC finale

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      You never know!!!
Hunt’s first carry was a fumble.

      LOL

      • Laurels and limitations

        DAMN good point!!

        • JimHarbaughsguys

Of course his play IMMEDIATELY after that was damn good.
And Bray’s…well…in his defense he does have the backup pass blocking OL in there.

          Other than that…nope.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Damn….I know this game means squat, but I want this W

    • Laurels and limitations

      same same

    • tm1946

But I want to win every game….

      • JimHarbaughsguys

You’re playing your 3rd string emergency QB now.
It is clear that Reid doesn’t care to win this game and never did.

        • mnelson52

          But the fans do

          • Laurels and limitations

            POW!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

This is the side of Reid that I can’t stand

    • tm1946

Doesn’t Sutton always play bend don’t break , hope for an interception defense.

      • JimHarbaughsguys

Good news is that Lynch can provide that.

    • mine is his play-calling. hands down.

  • Chiefly Bacon

I think Reid wants Denver to win this game. Hurts Denver’s draft position, doesn’t hurt the Chiefs to lose it.

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      helps Buffalo’s’ draft position though.

    • that would upset Vegas and money would change to the wrong hands.

      • mnelson52

        Reid don’t care

      • Chiefly Bacon

Frankly, anyone who’s betting on a game with back ups being played is stupid.

    • tm1946

To much thinking…. not sure the final score matters that much anyway.

  • tm1946

    Back against the wall time?

  • ladner morse

You have the game under control by 2 TDs… then you decide you want to get cute and give Bray some reps. Suddenly, the game is tied up.

    • Merlin

This is like the 4th quarter of a pre-season game. I don’t really care

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

It’s Denver…..no matter what you play to win

        • Laurels and limitations

          every time

          • still it ain’t Oakland, er, LA, er, Oakland, er Vegas.

          • Laurels and limitations

            lol, don’t matter

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      bring AS in!
      lol

  • mnelson52

    Really sad

    • tm1946

As if your or my opinion mattered…. LOL, says it all.

  • JimHarbaughsguys

    2 point conversion time?

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Revis’s body language says he doesn’t want to be out there

    • tm1946

Gaines hurt – no one left

    • Laurels and limitations

same thing I saw…he feels insulted.

  • Laurels and limitations

Bray be gone…but Reid wants to test Mahomes. ….VIVA LA MAHOMES!!!!!

  • Chiefly Bacon

Reid trying to screw Denver by convincing them that Lynch and Lynn are good?

    • JimHarbaughsguys

Reid is looking to trade for Lynch as PM backup when AS signs with Jax

      • LoL on that. It might work fine though

      • Laurels and limitations

Hellz yeah, my trifecta would be complete.

    • tm1946

At least that makes sense over Reid intentually trying to play mental games.

  • ladner morse

    Dominance in the AFC West.
    9-7 vs. 10-6.

    This game matters.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Exactly

    • JimHarbaughsguys

That 10 win mark does hold some magical merit over HC’s. Reid should want that.

    • Chiefly Bacon

It doesn’t matter. If it did, they wouldn’t be resting guys.

      • Laurels and limitations

it matters to the players, and their families, it matters to the fans that paid to see the players in live, and their families. In the playoff scope, nope, it doesn’t matter….but in every other single matter, yes it does.

        • Chiefly Bacon

It’s not even a home game though.

          • Laurels and limitations

that doesn’t matter, never did and never will. Sorry bub, there is no such thing as a throwaway game when it comes to the Chiefs.

      • ladner morse

        If it didn’t matter…. they’d no-show and forfeit.
        They didn’t.

        • JimHarbaughsguys

Can’t actually do that in the NFL.

    • mnelson52

Double digit wins always look superior

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Wilson in the middle of that huddle looking like a kid..lol

  • oh dear.

  • tm1946

Been fun but got the second party of the day to go to…. enjoy what is left… tell Bert we missed him….win, lose, or draw.

    • Laurels and limitations

      see ya bud. don’t D@D

      • tm1946

It is next day…. we have 300 residents – can walk about anywhere… only it is so darn cold

        • Laurels and limitations

We don’t D&D, ever. But overnight houseguests are a regular occurrence, lol.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Bailed out!

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Here comes the comeback kid…Bray!!

  • Laurels and limitations

I’ve got a stiffy right now.

    • are you watching the game or the gals at the sports bar?

      • Laurels and limitations

        hehe

  • Laurels and limitations

    HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ladner morse

    Amazing throw.

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Ok…..that was cool….stupidly dangerous, but cool

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      Told ya.
      Bray…the comeback kid!

      • Laurels and limitations

        uh, that’s PM2 bub

        • JimHarbaughsguys

It’s Bray’s aura leading the way.
          I got nothing

          • Laurels and limitations

            lol, s’all good my man

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            Lol

          • mnelson52

            Only if he throws INT

  • Merlin

    Amazing play

  • Laurels and limitations

    WIIIIIIILLLLLLSSSSOOOOOOONNNNNN!!!!

    • mnelson52

      Well, you know

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Stupid stupid stooooopid

  • ladner morse

    Wy would he throw that?

  • Merlin

This is where Mahomes goes wrong. Not a smart pass

  • Laurels and limitations

shut up commentator dude…you’re not fun

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Wilson shutting us up one clutch catch at a time

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      who needs hill?

      • Chiefly Bacon

        We do very very much

      • Laurels and limitations

could you imagine what this game would be like if al Mahomes had to do was unload to Hill every series?

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

          Anxious to see it

        • mnelson52

Deep safeties would be very deep safeties

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            Hill will get triple teamed

    • so you say. but do you want to pay him the big money for his F/A 5th season? And Int by TN ended the game, Titans 15-Jax 10

  • JimHarbaughsguys

Awesome TD by TB to beat NO there for those who can see it

  • ladner morse

    I’m laughing out loud here….

    • Laurels and limitations

      I’m loving life….this is awesome!!!

  • Laurels and limitations

this game matters you douche-bag….quit saying it doesn’t

    • Chiefly Bacon

It doesn’t 🙂 but I’m glad we won

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

So it mattered to you then

        • Laurels and limitations

          dayuuuuum, psychologizing and chit !!!

        • Chiefly Bacon

Of course it did! I want them to win by 20 every week!

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            Atta boy!!

      • Laurels and limitations

I replied to my own comment when I realized that you might have thought that I was talking to you. I wasn’t, btw.

        And yes it does, hehe.

    • Laurels and limitations

not you CB, I was talking to the announcer!!

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s
        • Laurels and limitations

lmao right now. I really was….got tired of the dude saying it.

          • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

            Yeah yeah…I know man.

          • Laurels and limitations

            lmbo, stop it….my gut hurts

  • ladner morse

    GAME WINNING DRIVE!!!!!!!!!

    • mnelson52

That was something I hoped not to see in 1st game. It was a thing of beauty and also not his fault he had to have the game winning drive. Wonder how Bray feels

      • Laurels and limitations

like he’s on the market is my guess

      • Ron Widman

        Unemployed

  • Laurels and limitations

30 DAMN YEARS, 30 DAMN YEARS!!!!!!!!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Ravens came back

    • JimHarbaughsguys

      not over yet

      • 3rd down, mid field, Flacco had to throw it away, put. 2;51 left

      • Chiefly Bacon

        You are correct sir!

  • Chiefly Bacon

I’d say that’s a pretty satisfactory effort by the rookie.

    • Merlin

Decision making and touch were pretty good

    • mnelson52

      And Kpass

      • big time. We won’t know til we see more. But he played well.

        • mnelson52

But he sure made me feel a little better about going into next season. I think I would like to see him more next week.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Totally agree…there were some impressive moments by the kid……a couple of more years under the tutelage of Smith and I am thinking we found a keeper.

      • mnelson52

He won’t get it. Cap reasons only

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

I know…..and it bums me out

      • Chiefly Bacon

One more year at the most.

        • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

It would be a smart move to try and figure out a way to make that happen.

      • Laurels and limitations

        hehe

  • Laurels and limitations

Welp, the good thing I saw was…beside the QBOTF in Kc was that Reid is not afraid to let his players, play. PM2 took some shot downfield, was allowed to call a couple of audibles, etc……game one was a success gentleman.

  • Laurels and limitations

Alright, the ol’ lady just informed me that we are going to the in-laws so I gotta split. Happy New Mahomes Day and to everyone a happy New Year. God bless you and yours.

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      Sorry man….drink a lot..it helps me when I visit the in-laws

  • mnelson52

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

    Drive safe if you’re out.

    • ladner morse

      TO YOU TOO!!!!!

  • Merlin

Wow, Bengals go up with 44 second left

    • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

      This is a nail biter!

    • ladner morse

Think Lewis will end up a DC somewhere?

      • Merlin

He has a good rep. I would think he would have opportunities. What do you think?

        • agreed and I think he will…

          • ladner morse

With a good rep… I would think he’ll have his pick.

    • huge 4th and 7 pass by Dalton to Boyd, who got thru traffic to score. 31-27 and about 45 sec left. Buffalo will get in. Huh.

      • larry mckinney

        No, it’s Tennessee I believe.

        • larry mckinney

          And the Chargers…

          • larry mckinney

The Chargers, masquerading as the Bills…

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    Flacco sacked!

    • 25 ticks. If this holds, Ravens out. Hurts my feelings? Not at all.

      • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

        Lol….mine either

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

Our first round could get a little easier IMO

  • larry mckinney

As much as the donkeys dominated us not too long ago, WE NOW OWN THEM! Five straight and counting. I just love it!!!!

  • Chiefs-Kings-A’s

    CIn wins!!!!!

  • Heilios

So looks like we are playing the titans at home

    • think about this: the who is in and who is out came down to 45 ticks in the Bengals-Ravens game.

  • Del Rio fired – so that makes 2. We have to postpone on Lewis eh?

    • Merlin

Not a shock. Rumors Gruden going there.

      • he is also rumored to go back to FL.

        • Merlin

I wouldn’t touch Gruden. Overrated, been out of coaching for a long time

    • Chiefly Bacon

Shame, he was a terrible coach, I enjoyed his time with the Raiders while it lasted.

    • drwillez37

They are offering stake in the team…thats the prize that won him over

  • larry mckinney

Incredible momentum building for the playoffs. Our second string really smoked the donks, Tyler Bray excepted…
