The Pro Bowl is the best the NFL has to offer all wrapped around the worst game — non-game — of the year. Still, last year’s event drew a whopping 5.0 share of the audience which was down from the rip-roaring 6.7 share it pulled in the previous year. The best any fans can hope for is that their team’s star has one good breakout play and that he doesn’t get hurt in the process. The players have decided to tone down the competition… and can you blame them?
The Kansas City Chiefs players named to the Pro Bowl include: quarterback Alex Smith, punter Dustin Colquitt, linebacker/special teamer DJ Alexander, tight end Travis Kelce, cornerback Marcus Peters, strong safety Eric Berry and return specialist Tyreek Hill. Those last four — Kelce, Peters, Berry and Hill — were named to the starting lineup for the AFC team.
Let the fun begin. Let the prayers begin as well, because we don’t need to see anyone hurt playing what is essentially a pick-up game.
So, what do you like… love… or want to see… in the Pro Bowl?
