Talk about having a game circled on your calendar. This is the Chiefs toughest game of the year, period. I wouldn’t have blamed any of the players if they had taken a game off earlier to focus on this one. However, the significance of this game is at an all time high. If K.C. wins — as I expect them to — then they will be 10-and-0 with 7 games to play and a three game lead + a head-to-head Conference win over the Bills. If the Bills win this game, the Chiefs would move to 9-and-1 while the Bills would move to 9-and-2 and be only one game back + holding the direct competition advantage over the Chiefs. IOW, they’d only be one game behind.
With the Bills being one game back with 6 games to play (for them), would not be too insurmountable. However, the next three games for the Bills would be a tough challenge having to face: the 49ers at Home, the Rams in LA, and the Lions in Detroit. In the meantime, over the next three weeks, the Chiefs will be facing the Panthers in Carolina, the Raiders at Home, and the Chargers in L.A.. You can also read “Life After the Bills.”

Chiefs Create Their Own Luck

Some think the success of the Chiefs this year is either accidental, lucky, or something that can be blamed on the refs. Here, Emmanuel Acho does a good job of explaining why the Chiefs have been successful this season:

Odds makers: Buffalo is a slim favorite (-2.5). An over/under of 46 points has been set for the matchup.
My prediction is: Chiefs 34, Bills 17
