Kansas City Chiefs: A Date with Spooky Action at a Distance

Kansas City Chiefs: A Date with Spooky Action at a Distance – I wrote the first part of this article viewing the anomalies of the Kansas City Chiefs experience in the 2019 season. It may indeed be that: is exactly =

I then promptly destroyed the article accidentally which was exactly replicated elsewhere? Could that have been a cosmic re-alignment of stars?  Can the exact same particle exist at the same quantum moment and state at two different quantum places? Well, idea-wise, they certainly can because 1970 and 2020 have eerily similar circumstance. It’s spooky.

Cosmic Q1: The Reid Effect?

Let me start by stating that I was not in favor of Reid as Chiefs HC in 2013. I wanted Spittin’ Bill. There are reasons for my preference but Bill Cowher remains in the booth and one of the most successful head coaches in the NFL remains on the field with Kansas City. He is revered and admired. His head coaching tree is remarkable as is his won-lost record. At the same time he has the sword of Damocles in suspension above his noggin.

Cosmic Q 2: Will Reid win the Lombardi?

If I were to compare the ability of the admirable HC Kyle Shanahan to Reid, I would think that destiny falls on the side of Reid. It’s “Our Time” as the “Athletic Podcast” has determined. I think so too, but keep in mind that I am not superstitious — except in matters of destiny, I guess. I don’t know though. Can a cat be alive in a box this moment and while at the same time be a light year away and alive in another box? It’s going to be one way or the other according to conventional physics. My bet, this time is on Andy Reid, although I highly admire Kyle Shanahan.

Much Maligned Cosmic Stars

The players on both rosters believe themselves to be undervalued. Both teams won numerous times during the season. The Chiefs suffered injuries mightily throughout to come away with 12 wins (back to back seasons) and the 49’ers reversed a 4 win season in 2018 to 13 in 2019. Both of these stories are very remarkable in themselves and apparently the 49’ers players feel under appreciated, even maligned since they are not viewed as the Super Bowl favorites. For the Chiefs, having overcome all the obstacles to get to the game feel the same way.

Recent history demonstrates the Chiefs failing year after year to get back to the big game, starting in both 1971 and 1972’s seasons. It continued for 50 years and that is why the Chiefs, 50 years later, are destined to win Super Bowl LIV… at least in my view.

Chiefs D: Mystery Shrouded in an Enigma

In 1969, the Chiefs had a good defense… but the Vikings had a purple people eating machine. A similar view of the 49’ers prowess on defense is often heralded. In David Perkin’s article on Monday afternoon at ArrowheadOne he delved into a most important aspect of comparing the teams. See the article here: Super Bowl Myth Busters

I can say this about Perkin’s article which fits my own view: before the 2019 season began, I predicted the Chiefs defense would rank near the middle or about 15th. I greatly appreciated the effort that GM Brett Veach gave in replacing three top players and building a defense roster that replaced 8 starters, the Defensive Coordinator — Bob Sutton for Steve Spagnuolo — and going from a 3-4 defensive base to a 4-3.

The result of this massive change was a defense struggling to play together, players lost for the season, other players stepping in and up and the addition of new men who have made significant contributions: Mike Pennel and Terrell Suggs to mention a couple.

Look at how the defense rated overall at, 1) NFL Next Gen Stats, 2) ProFootballRef, 3) Outsiders, or 4) Fox: the Chiefs are in the top 10 defenses for all except Outsiders

That was hard to see from Outsiders. Let’s take a look at a chart split in half by ProFootballRef. Hopefully, you can see that better:

The Chiefs defense fully arrived after week 10 with the only anomaly being the division round playoff game, quarter one. There is always an anomaly right?

Offense: Not So Spooky But, It Is Cosmic

Even when not throwing the ball, Pat Mahomes can beat you as he did on his 27 yard TD on a scramble. This will be a famous defining play for Pat Mahomes — as well as the Chiefs — and will be known as “The Run” ever after. Ladner Morse wrote about this play as a seminal moment, here: –> Chiefs Seminal Moments: THE RUN

Need I say more? The Chiefs with all their firepower are the most prolific offense in the NFL, bar none. I take into account all the travails with injuries, players lost to multiple games or, for the season. Clearly, the Kansas City Chiefs are tops.

In both offense and defensive categories the Chiefs are my choice, numbers-wise. I really cannot say what is going on in Vegas nor what the betting public will do. Right now the Chiefs are favorites but that could change in the blink of an eye. It’s a toss up in any conversation that is realistic if you are not just speaking with the Homer’s in KC.

Are Our Stars Cosmically Aligned?

Which is true: if your truth is true, and my truth is true… then how can your truth be true? If this is the year of destiny it seems like fifty years would provide reason to believe that the stars and atomic particles share the same instance exactly the same in two different times in two incomprehensible places, one on Earth, the other on Pluto. That’s a spooky entanglement right there if there ever was one. In the same quantum moment a cat exists in a box in one place, alive, and another alive at the same quantum moment? Yes, even though Albert Einstein could not believe it.*

At the first moment, Michael Travis Rose wrote an article stating that he is not superstitious and yet at the same time, wrote about current mysterious superstition in his article here: –> Deja Vu All Over Again: Five Reasons the Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV

Fans chipped in with comments. I always wear the same outfit when attending Spooky Events like NFL Game Days for the Chiefs. If I accidentally hit the delete button and data goes away, is that Spooky Action at a Distance?… or… is this merely a metaphor to the question:
