K.C. Chiefs: Peters and Houston are a Go
Ian Rapoport is reporting the Marcus Peters, who has a hip pointer, will play today.
#Chiefs star CB Marcus Peters, who didn’t practice, is battling a painful hip pointer. He’ll try to play, but will be limited if he does

In what is probably the biggest news coming out of Arrowhead since the team signed Willie Roaf, the Chiefs are expecting Justin Houston to participate in the game today against the Tampa BayBuccaneerss.
#Chiefs sack-master Justin Houston (ACL) will be playing for the first time all season today, per agent @gbo74. Team should ease him in.

In other — significant — news around the league, the New England Patriots will be playing without their star TE Rob Gronkowski. While this should not affect the outcome of their game vs. the 1-and-8 San Francisco 49ers, it could prove to be much bigger news if Gronkowski indeed does have a perforated lung as was first reported.
#Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (perforated lung) is not on the plane as the team is set to fly to SF, source said. He’s out vs. the #49ers.

While many Chiefs fans merely want to see the Chiefs “get to” the Super Bowl, many more of us want to see them “get there and win it!” However, for the past couple of weeks now, I have been anticipating the possibility of a Dallas Cowboys v Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl. The Cowboys, who not only have the best record in the NFC but the NFL as well at 8-and-1, have become the class of the league with two rookies in the offensive backfield, RB Ezekiel Elliott and QB Dak Prescott. Prescott was the 135th pick in this year’s draft, a Compensatory 4th rounder, taken long after the Chiefs had already chosen 5 of their picks: Chris Jones- #37, KeiVarae Russell- #59, Parker Ehinger- #105, Eric Murray- #106 and Demarcus Robinson at #126. Ironically, the Chiefs very next pick in the 5th round… was a QB, Kevin Hogan, at pick #162.
The Cowboys now look to have a formidable offense for years to come with perhaps the best offensive line in the NFL and most certainly the best backup QB in the league in Tony Romo. What do you think Chiefs fans, wouldn’t it be thrilling to see the Chiefs whip up on the Cowboys in February?
