Beyond the Red Helmet Heads, 7·16·21

There’s so much more to the Kansas City Chiefs than games alone. The Chiefs have not only become the best team in the National Football League, the organization is at the very tops as well. There are so many stories off of the football field that it seems irresponsible to not to address them. That’s our purpose here, to throw some light on the multitude of avenues where the Chiefs have impacted the local community as well as all the other ripple effects the team has had around the world. Consequently, we’ll be looking, “Beyond the Red Helmet Heads” here at ArrowheadOne on a regular basis.

She Sheds and Man Caves

While I’m not so sure this falls under the banner of She Sheds or Man Caves, or Now I’ve Seen It All! However, these sites are featuring Chiefs Jewelry, and there are many more than what’s mentioned here. First, let’s take a look at a “Mahomes” purse:

Chiefs Chrivia – Q#1

In the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl season of 1966,

K.C. was 11-2-1. In that one tie game to the Patriots,

a Chiefs DB had a 29-yard pick-6: who was it?

In a recent episode of Mitch-in-the-Kitch, he explains how he correctly cooks a steak, so it’s not underdone… or over-cooked.

Five years before Tamarick Vanover pled guilty to a stolen vehicle charge and agreed to cooperate with feds in an ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking… he was one of my favorite players and as a kick returner was once one of the league’s best. Here’s a long Punt return TD against the San Diego Chargers and which resulted in a 29-to-23 Chiefs win.

Arrowhead: A Vaccination Station

This past March 19, Arrowhead served as a Vaccination Station for 3,600+ residents of Kansas City and more specifically, Jackson County, where I live.

Both of my brothers, one younger, and one older, have had the Coronavirus, so I understand the seriousness that it can pose. I encourage those who have not gotten their vaccination for the Coronavirus to do so asap. I went with my older brother and had the shots, twice, in March. Vaccinations may be found at many CVS Pharmacies and well as by contacting the City of Kansas City Missouri –> here.

It Just Got Personal

.

The first “teaching” job I got fresh out of college (and I won’t tell you what century that was in, but it certainly wasn’t this one), I was running a Preschool, Day Care and Learning Center in Eastern Independence, and some kids fashioned me a nick name: Laddy-Paddy-Waddy. So, it struck a chord when I saw this picture of Mahomes wife, Brittany, toting their baby around the golf course, and then Patrick swoops in to pick up his baby girl, Sterling Skye — oh, I treasure those days — and you can hear someone in the background yelling, “Hey baby Patty!”
