Okay. What I mean is, so far the expected moves by the Chief’s GM, Brett Veach haven’t come to fruition–yet. I keep inspecting all the news sources, checking twitter, and whatever news feeds I can find. I expect more, it isn’t done, so Veach ain’t done it yet. What will we do?
Things That have Happened or Will Shortly?
Anthony Hitchens was released – not saying there is a surprise by this move. it was the right one and garnered $8.4M in cap space. In truth, I called for him to be replaced a year and a half ago.
Josh Gordon was tendered – I expected this to happen believing that he did not have time to meld with the team, the playbook and the mad hatter, er, Patrick Mahomes.
Patrick Mahomes is getting married(to Brittany Matthews) – well, it hasn’t happened but will this weekend in Hawaii. Patrick? The milk was already spilled.
Nick Bolton had a birthday – Best wishes Nick and may the force be with you in 2022!

Some Good News for 2023?
I know. I know. This doesn’t give you any comfort for 2022.
The Chiefs have garnered a third round Compensation pick when Ryan Poles was hired away to Chicago for both 2022 and 2023.
If both Tyrann Mathieu and Charvarius Ward depart in free agency, that would yield two more 3rd round draft picks in 2023. If Eric Bieniemy is hired away as a HC in 2023? Add on another 3rd round pick in 2023 and 2024 each. This does not include their existing 3rd round pick in 2023. Wow. Brett Veach could make some real progress with that many 3rd round picks in 2023.
The Caveat? We need help in 2022! Sure, I know this is of no comfort for you of the moment. I went back through the news tonight. I found nothing new. It is March 11th and the tampering period begins in 2 days from now(when this is published at ArrowheadOne. The other teams in the AFC West are improved.
Inquiring minds want to know. What will we do, Mr. Veach? What will we do? What will we do?
