The Kansas City Chiefs are traveling to Buffalo to take on the Bills tomorrow evening. Long before that happens, there are some issues that need to be sorted out. Let’s start with one from Good Morning Football (GMFB) and Kyle Brandt who believes Taylor Swift has more in common with the Bills than the Chiefs (3:27):
.
.
We also need to address the friendship of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and the Bills QB Josh Allen. In an article for FOX4KC, Jared Bush wrote a piece called, “Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen talk about friendship ahead of Divisional Round” in which he quotes Jared Aloen as saying:
.
“We’re fairly good friends, and obviously, in the offseason, we tend to play some together. He’s a fantastic player; his track record and his resume speaks for himself at such a young age. One of the greatest quarterbacks to already play this game.”
.
If that’s not anti-bulletin board material enough for you, take a look at what Jared Bush quotes Patrick Mahomes as saying:
.
“You have friends, but almost like when you compete against your friends, you almost want to win even more because of it. Josh is a great dude. I respect the way that he plays football and just the guy that he is. But it’s like when two guys that are ultra-competitive that are friends off the field go up against each other. We obviously both want to win, ’cause we know we see each other in the offseason, and you want to have a little bit of those bragging rights.”
.
Mahomes and Allen play gold together in the offseason so whoever won the season before has a bit of bragging rights.
Matt McMillan, the Chiefs beat reporter, has a video called: “Six Stats to Know for Our Divisional Playoff Game.” Take a look (3:24):

Bills’ Mafia may rival Chiefs Kingdom for their willingness to be helpful:
.
.
In an article for NBC news by Antonio Planas called: “More snow means Buffalo Bills once again need help shoveling before a big playoff game” he says:
.
“The Buffalo Bills are again asking their fans to lend a hand — and shovel — to clear snow in its stadium for Sunday’s playoff tussle with the Kansas City Chiefs. The organization on Thursday asked fans, known as the Bills Mafia, to help get the home field and stadium in Orchard Park game-ready.”
.
Looks like they got the help they needed.
Rocky Magnaña at ArrowheadPride has written an article called: “L’Jarius Sneed has traveled long road to become one of NFL’s elite defenders” and he says of Sneed:
.
“The Chiefs selected Sneed in the 32nd pick in the fourth round — and almost instantly, the coaching staff knew they had a diamond in the rough. Fast forward to the player that Sneed is today, and you’ll find a shutdown corner who regularly shadows the opposing team’s No. 1 wide receiver around the field.”
.
If you missed the news on Sneed earlier this week, he was brought in the the Pro Bowl by Peyton Manning, a coach for the AFC team of all-stars. Good for Sneed. Now, I hope he doesn’t have to show up there… and that he’ll be too busy making preparations for the Super Bowl.
.
Matt Conner at ArrowheadAddict wrote a piece called: “Trent McDuffie gives glowing review of Rashee Rice’s rookie year” in which he quotes McDuffie as saying:
.
“[If] you look back at training camp, I know we battled for sure multiple times in training camp and he definitely caught a few passes where I was like, ‘Woah, I know those aren’t easy catches to make.’ And he was doing it right out of the gate.”
.
The Chiefs have their next star wideout in Rashee Rice. That much is clear.
.
Summary
The two teams — the Chiefs and the Bills — have spoken glowingly of each other this week, doing their best to keep any bulletin board material from surfacing. The Chiefs will travel today to the western New York area and play the game tomorrow at 5:30 PM CST. This figures to be a good game, but that the Chiefs are now considered 2 and a half point underdogs. I don’t understand that. Neither does Nick Wright (8:04):
.
.
We started this journey with a GMFB Kyle Brandt video clip so we might as well end with a Peter Schrager GMFB clip. This is a must-watch video (5:11):
