Chiefs: Pouring it On This Offseason

This has been an offseason to beat all offseasons. Of course it all begins with a victory in Super Bowl LVIII, then it trickles down to the most recent news of Brittany and Patrick’s third child on the way and a sonogram to beat all sonograms.

Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said at the time:

The Chiefs re-signed LB Drue Tranquill to a 3-year deal (10:15):

As I’ve said before, this may be as significant a move as any the Chiefs have made this offseason. Yes, as big as it was to re-sign Chris Jones on 3/11 and then signing Marquise Hollywood Brown on 3/18… moving on from Marquez Valdes-Scantling — MVS — was huge.

On 3/4 L’Jarius Sneed was tagged with Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag that led to his being traded on 3/29 to the Tennessee Titans.

While the Chris Jones re-signing took place on 3/11, it is covered above.

Travis Kelce is living with the most popular person on the planet while at the same time he’s been a busy boy. He’s been taking on commercials, acting in a show, playing in golf tournaments, attending NBA games, maintaining a podcast with his brother, singing (if that’s what you call it) and not only attending concerts by his partner he’s been jumping into the performers role… and that’s just to name a few of his offseason endeavors. I could go on and on, but what’s the use. Enough said.

This has been a stellar offseason for the Chiefs. Andy Reid accepting the Award that Patrick Mahomes was given for Best Men’s Sports Athlete ended with Reid giving an awesome speech (see above).

What stands out to you abut this offseason?
