Eric Berry went on NFL Network for an interview and stated his intentions about playing on the franchise tag again in 2017.

I listened to what Eric Berry had to say in his NFL Network interview and I quote, “I’m definitely not going to play under a franchise tag this year.” So, if you were thinking Berry was misquoted… uh, no… or was he just posturing… maybe… but he is clear about his intentions.

Berry is in the prime of his career and he wants to stay in Kansas City. Let’s hope John Dorsey gets the job done soon.
