Mahomes Questions and Answers
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has thrown 25 TDs this season after 11 games. With six (6) games to go, that projects to 39 TDs (38.6). That’s a great answer to any question critical fans may have about his performance this year. The problem is, he has as many interceptions this year (11) as he’s thrown the past two seasons combined.
Sunday’s Game: Timeline
As you may know, the game on Sunday vs the Broncos has been flexed, meaning, the game has been moved to prime time Sunday Night Football. Here’s what the Chiefs have published about that day:
Sweet Donkey Moments in History
There was a time when… the Broncos famed quarterback tried to get the referees in Arrowhead to quiet the crowd down so he could call a play. Ha! How did that work out for him? God bless BJ Kissel for this blessed memory while he was with the Chiefs organization:
Brisket: Mitch in the Kitch
While I’ve been hoping Mitch Schwartz could one day return to the Chiefs lineup, but it doesn’t look like that’s in the cards. What he does do though, is cook. Here’s a YouTube session on how he prepares brisket.
Chiefs Chrivia: Question
In 2003, the Chiefs best season under Dick Vermeil, they were mostly known for their offense, so, who was their leading tackler or tacklers. Any of the top three will do. Answer, down below.
Probably the most well-known highlight against in any season, for any NFL team, was when Dante Hall returned a punt for a TD and every Broncos defender had a shot at him… but failed:
It may not be Raiders Week, but Broncos Week comes in a close second place in terms of Chiefs rivals. No one knows better than ex-Chiefs players like Tim Grunhard:
Chiefs Chrivia: Answer
LB Scott Fujita lead the team in tackles with 114. However, it’s unusual for any team to have three players with more than 100 tackles, but that’s exactly what the Chiefs got that year with LB Shawn Barber registering 113 tackles and Safety Greg Wesley pitching in 104. The Chiefs finished 13-and-3 that year but lost in the playoffs to Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts 38-to-31 and if memory serves me correct, that was the game that had zero punts.
