Breaking News: KC Chiefs Release Injured Darrin Reaves

In a somewhat surprising move, the Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Darrin Reaves.  Unfortunately, Reaves never saw the field for the Chiefs, but did provide glimpses of talent and hope that he could a Priest Holmes kind of player (shed by another team, only to rise to greatness).

In the offseason, Reaves underwent sports hernia surgery. It hasn’t been announced as the official reason, so it would be speculation at this point.

Perhaps it is simply a matter of liking the existing talent and the rookies more. Or, maybe it is that and the front office wanting to let Reaves have an opportunity to take a step forward with another team.
