Chiefs: 2020 Offseason Calendar of Events and Random Weird Stuff

Chiefs: 2020 Offseason Calendar of Events and Random Weird Stuff – I rewatched Super Bowl LIV on Sunday February 9th, from beginning to end. The Chiefs won again!! And we are the Champions of the World!

I love it.

While we are still celebrating, teh Chiefs GM Brett Veach and Company are busy with the new league year soon to be upon us. So, let’s take a look at the calendar and begin preparing. After all, the Combine is only 11 days away.

    • February 24 to March 2 – NFL combine
    • February 25 – 1st Day to designate Franchise or Transition Tags
    • March 10 – Last Day to designate Franchise or Transition Tags
    • March 16 – Legal Tampering begins for Free Agents
    • March 18 – New League Year starts – Free Agency officially starts
    • March 18 – Top 51 contracts must be under the cap
    • March 18 – Offers due on Restricted Free Agents (RFA’s)
    • April 17 – RFA’s must sign tender offers
    • April 23 to 25 – NFL 2020 Draft
    • August 6 – Preseason starts
    • September 5 – Roster Cutdown Day
    • September 6 – Practice Squads established
    • September 10 – Thursday Night kickoffs the 2020 season

For the Chiefs, a lot is going to happen, in the next 30 days, that will affect the entire 2020 season, and the draft will not even have taken place yet!

Now For Some Weird Stuff

  • Eric Fisher was undefeated in 2019

As was Demone Harris, Terrell Suggs and Alex Brown (late season additions)

[Note: being “undefeated” means that a person didn’t lose a game in 2019]

  • Kendall Fuller was undefeated as a Safety

  • Mike Pennel only lost one game (7-1) in 2019 (the one he did not play)

  • Patrick Mahomes is 4 and 1 in the playoffs and undefeated MVP in 2 consecutive years as a starter

  • Spags is undefeated (2-0) as a Defensive Coordinator in 2 Super Bowls.

  • My Chiefs shirt received as a 2019 Christmas gift is undefeated (3-0) when worn during the playoffs.

  • The Chiefs were undefeated (4-0) with yellow end zones.

What’s your weird stuff?

Think Abundance –> Times yours!
