Chiefs: Andy Reid on the Rich Eisen Show – Yesterday, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid was interviewed on the Rich Eisen Show. Below is that interview. Eisen is one of the best, if not the best, interviewers in the sports world today and he asks Andy Reid a number of potent questions. Some of those questions include:
- After reaching the pinnacle of your sport, how has life changed for you?
- Walk me through how a play [like the WASP] can organically develop?
- Tell me what you can tell us about Eric Bieniemy’s ascension in your ranks and his readiness?
- Reid mentions being on the Missouri staff when Bieniemy was a RB for Colorado and they beat Mizzou on that infamous 5th down play.
- Sitting with Patrick Mahomes when he comes off the field and chit-chatting, how do you feel that has helped in his development?
- Eisen asks Reid about his 4-and-15 Rule philosophy with Patrick Mahomes as his QB?
- Eisen: “You used a play from the 1940 Rose Bowl?”
- Reid talks about Sammy Watkins inability to spin (practicing goal line play)… and dance!
- Eisen asks Reid if there’s going to be a 2020 season?
Rich Eisen interviews several people during his 3 hour show each day and in this case, those guests included: Mike Zimmer, HC of the Vikings and Jim Harbaugh, HC of the Michigan Wolverines. Andy Reid of course is featured last. However, I’ve isolated the Reid-only portion of his show for your listening/viewing pleasure. There’s more to hear, than the questions I’ve listed above, during this 17:41 interview. Enjoy.
