Chiefs, Bills Results

Laddie Morse

I guess it had to happen sooner or later. The survivors of the 1972 Miami Dolphins team would all say that, I’m sure. However, whenever a loss happens, it hurts. For sure. My personal prediction of a 34-to-17 blowout in favor of the Chiefs didn’t happen, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the playoffs because I’m pretty sure both of these teams will be there. I’m also fairly sure K.C. will perform better than they did in this game.

The Bills took a 16 to 14 lead at half time and I thought a blowout could still happen… if… the defense tightened the screws or stopped the bleeding. Instead, the D allowed two more TDs to the Bills (both in th 4th quarter) and the Chiefs could only muster one… and that’s all she wrote. Game over. Streak over. Perfect season over. Oh well.

At least the Chiefs are still one game up on the Buffalo Bills even though they have a head-to-head tie breaker. However, that tie breaker only comes into play if they finished with a same record as the Chiefs. As I said in yesterday’s piece (Chiefs at Bills: OPEN THREAD), the Bills next three games are tough. That includes: the 49ers at Home, the Rams in LA, and the Lions in Detroit. In the meantime, K.C. will be facing: the Panthers in Carolina, the Raiders at Home, and the Chargers in L.A..

The Chiefs Patrick Mahomes is usually an excellent QB. On this day, he wasn’t. Yes, he threw three TD passes but he also threw two INTs and that includes the game deciding INT to Terrel Bernard and all the Bills offense needed to do was kneel down a could of times(0:17) :

Mahomes was 23 of 33 for 196 yards and Josh Allen was 27 of 40 for 262 yards. In the running game, Kareem Hunt had 60 rushing yards on 14 carries while Josh Allen was their leading rusher with 55 yards. However, the Bills ended up with 104 total rushing yards while K.C. ended up with just 78. While HUnt’s longest carry was for 17 yards, it was Josh Allen’s TD run of 26 yards that put the game out of reach when he also scored a TD on that run.

Noah Gray had two TD catches in this game. Here’s Grays first TD catch:

Here’s Noah Gray’s second TD catch (0:15):

There are two. the first is by

Tackles aren’t good

Defensive backfield missed Sneed

Andy not going for 2 is a head scratcher

Kelce played washed

Josh Allen schooled Spags on that last TD

Still in the drivers seat though

The second Quote of the Game was in response to Phil’s comment, from:

Now, what’s left to do, is for these Kansas City Chiefs to see if they can knock off these Buffalo Bills in their next game which will certainly come in the 2024 post-season.
