There are 5 more days until the 2018 NFL Draft. Each day we’ll provide a bit of fun facts about the Kansas City Chiefs… or perhaps a trivia question. Since we have “5” days until this draft… the theme today is 5.
April 21st, 1963… was 55 years ago today. At the time…
- John F. Kennedy was the President,
- The #1 pop song was “He’s So Fine” by the Chiffons,
- TV shows, Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color and Bonanza, were more popular than Sunday Night Football because there was no Sunday Night Football back then,
- The Corvette Stingray, Buick Riviera, and the Jeep Wagoneer all made their debut.
- “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock made it’s cinematic debut starring: Rod Taylor, Tippi Hedren, Suzanne Pleshette,
- And the Beatles met the Rolling Stones in person for the first time on this date 55 years go today.
Plus, the Kansas City Chiefs had never played a game… yet… because it was in the spring of 1963 that the AFL Champion “1962 Dallas Texans” had just moved to Kansas City and were getting ready to play there first game ever at Municipal Stadium.
