Chiefs: Day 8, Without Pads

It may have been Day 8 of Training Camp, but it was Day 11 for QBs and Rookies… however, the Kansas City Chiefs practiced 10-10-10 (which basically means, 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive plays, 10 minutes or 10 Special Teams plays) with no pads on prior to their day off on Tuesday this week. Tomorrow. 10-10-10 is meant to be a lighter practice, mostly mental.

WHB 180 radio with Soren Petro (and I think it was Rany Jazayerli) on The Program, were talking yesterday afternoon about Creed Humphrey’s hiking low to Patrick Mahomes in 2023. They were suggesting that if Mahomes was taking a hike low and had to take his eyes off the defense, even if it was for one second, then that’s long enough for him to pick the ball up and have to re-assess the defensive backfield. Humphrey said he’s just been focusing on his technique:
