The main question is, are these the Bengals who have given the Patrick Mahomes led Chiefs problems over the last few years or not? Equally, is Joe Burrow the same QB he used to be, the one who beat the Chiefs by scores of: 27-to-24 and 27-to-24 and 34-to-31? Strangely enough all those games were played in 2022 – 01/02/2022, 01/30/2022, and 12/04/2022. Perhaps even more bothersome is the fact that two of those games were played in Arrowhead Stadium, causing some of the Bengals players to call it “Burrow-Head” Stadium.
The encouraging facts of the recent games is that K.C. has won the last two.
Some pundits have stated that the record between the Bengals and the Chiefs has made them “rivals.” If K.C. can win this game handily, that rivalry may be gone… and hopefully for good.
Shut UP!
The Cincinnati Bengals players don’t know when to shut up. Some have suggested that they are all talk and players who spout off like they have are doing so because they can’t show it on the field. It started last year when WR Ja’Marr Chase wouldn’t say Patrick Mahomes name:

Here’s Ja’Marr Chase from this past summer (0:34):

At least Chase admits that he’s salty. The war of words keeps going with Cam Taylor-Britt providing the firepower with his recent comments about Xavier Worthy’s speed be “Straight line speed only.”

The Chiefs don’t get sucked into that whirlwind of disrespect. I don’t know if it’s training, or it’s just a matter of GM Brett Veach and crew making great player decisions at the outset. Whatever it is, I’m gad these Chiefs don’t go there.

Final Injury Reports
We got the news this week that Marquise Hollywood Brown was out because of his sternoclavicular injury and on Monday, tomorrow, he’ll have surgery to repair it. Andy Reid said this week:
.
“It’s not going to be weeks, more like months.
Everybody’s a little different, and this [injury],
not a lot of these that we have information on,
so we’ve just got to wait it out and see how
long it takes. We’ll see where that takes us in
this process. But that’s the information we
have, and we’re just going to have to hold tight
on that.”
.
The point is, his health is the main concern and his life. We want everyone to have a good life after football so getting this fixed is all about him getting well. Period.
Brown is the only player out for this game.

The Bengals may have several player who may be out for this game.

There was another injury that happened in the NFL this week which needs to be talked about. A concussion to Tua Tagovailoa. I’ve watched lots and read many takes on this head injury, and I’ve also seen the replay of his accident. Chase Daniel has the take I resonate with most. Many pundits say Tua should retire, but I consider what Chase Daniel had to say being the most compelling (2:52):

Here’s Mitch Holthus and Matt McMullen in a short Kingdom Conversation, talking about the matchup (2:42):

Note: I’ll be gone during the game today, to a Family gathering. However, I will be watching the game when I get home and then reporting on it on Monday morning. Go Chiefs!
