Chiefs New Motto: “Moves R Us”
The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to make moves this year. Some of that is because of injuries… some presumably to upgrade their roster. However, whenever there is this much change within an organization it begs the question: is it good for cohesiveness and morale?
Here’s what’s happen during this week… so far:
1. RB Knile Davis has been traded to the Green Bay Packers
2. DL Allen Bailey has hurt his shoulder and been placed on the Injured Reserve (IR) list.
3. DL Nick Williams has been waived.
4. DL Kendall Reyes has been signed.
5. DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches (RNR) has been promoted from the practice squad.
6. ILB Justin March-Lillard (JML) has a hand injury and has also been placed on IR.
7. ILB Ramik Wilson has been promoted from the practice squad.
8. CB Terrance Mitchell has been promoted from the practice squad.
I’m sure I forgot one… but wait a minute, that was only Monday and Tuesday and with winsome Wednesday, thoroughfare Thursday, turnstile Friday and unsatisfied Saturday all coming right up… there’s no need to fret.
+ The Davis trade I get completely and it was not only a good move but about time!
+ Injuries are part of the game so Godspeed to Allen Bailey and Justin March Lillard.
+ Waiving Nick Williams? Do not pass go, do not collect your $200,000 dollars. I don’t get that one.
+ Bringing in Kendall Reyes. Maybe Reyes was too good to pass up on which made Darling Nicky expendable.
+ The advancement of RNR was predictable. Oh wait… I did predict that yesterday. Now I feel predictable too.
+ I didn’t understand allowing Ramik Wilson to go earlier so I hope he ends up starting in JML’s place.
+ Terrance Mitchell? I guess you can never have enough corners… good or not. Not saying he’s not good… in fact, in his 8 games played with the Cowboys and the Bears he had 13 tackles, an INT, one forced-fumble, 3 passes defended and a sack.
What do you think Chiefs fans? Craving more moves?
