“What TV channel will broadcast the 2023 NFL Combine?”

ArrowheadOne covered Day 1 here –>Chiefs NFL Combine Report: Day 1

.

Four Day Schedule

Over the next four days (three more now) the following players will be put through the drills:

Day One – Thursday: Defensive Linemen and Linebackers

Day Two – Friday: Defensive Backs

Day Three – Saturday: QBs, WRs, & TEs

Day Four – Sunday: RBs and OLs

.

Friday Results

In a piece written by Jordan Foote for SI.com called, “Local Potential Chiefs Prospects Showed Out During Combine’s First Day” he offers:

.

“Defensive line prospects Adetomiwa Adebawore (Northwestern) and Ikenna Enechukwu (Rice) are both from the Kansas City area… Kansas State EDGE Felix Anudike-Uzomah is a likely Day 2 pick after a junior season that saw him record 11 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks with a pair of forced fumbles and a pass broken up for the Wildcats.”

.

Here’s Adetomiwa Adebawore’s 40 run from Friday:

.

.

Ikenna Enechukwu is from Rice and ran a 4.77 40 yard dash at 6-foot-4 and 270 lbs.. That’s very, very good.

.

.

Josh Edwards and Chris Trapasso wrote a piece for CBS Sports called, “Stars continue to show out as DBs run 40-yard dash, compete in drills” in which they shared:

.

“Michigan’s DJ Turner blistered the turf, running the 40-yard dash in 4.26 seconds; it’s the fastest among all combine participants to this point.”

.

Here’s DJ Turner running his Combine-fastest (so far) 40 yard dash of 4.27:

.

.

DJ Turner is currently the #75 overall prospect in the NFL Mock Draft Database but I doubt he stays there for long.

.

Do you remember four time pro bowl Linebacker Joey Porter Sr who was drafted in the 3rd round by the Steelers? His son — Joey Porter Jr. — is a DB and he ran his 40 yesterday too and Sr. was there to see him and and respond as well:

.

.

Junior ranks 16th overall by CBS Sports.

.

Matthew Stanley from a piece for SBNation called, “Defensive Backs to watch” in which he lists these DBs and Safeties to keep an eye on:

.

.

A couple of intersting notes — quotes — from Chris Trapasso at CBS Sports:

.

“Maybe not 100% full speed from Brandon Joseph there, but a smooth gauntlet drill. He’s been on the draft radar for three years, after that first-team All-American season in 2020.”

.

Brandon Joseph is a Safety for Notre Dame who Ryan Roberts of SI.com says has had an underwhelming Combine performance. Josh Edwards of CBS Sports says:

.

“4.49 is a really good number for Minnesota’s Jordan Howden. He is a very instinctual player that always finds himself around the football.”

.

Here’s Auburn Linebacker Owen Pappoe trying to better his 4.5 40… which he does.

.

.

Here’s CB Jakorian Bennett, from Maryland, running a 4.30 40. Amazing time.

.

.

Jordan Howden is a DB from Minnesota who ran a solid time in the 40:

.

.

DB Christian Gonzalez upped his time in the 40 from 4.44 to under 4.4.

.

.

CB Christian Gonzalez is out of Oregon, is 6-foot-2 and weighs 201, and ranks 23rd overall by DrafTek. Running a fast 40 is nice to see but the overall athleticism is perhaps more important:

The NFL Combine isn’t the only Chiefs news that came out this week. The Franchise: Episode 14 came out and it’s called, “The Franchise Episode 14: Super Bowl LVII.

I watched The Franchise Episode 14 tonight and I can’t say enough about it. I give it 9 and a half stars out of ten. It takes you from the end of the AFC Championship game and all the way through the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, then a breakdown of Super Bowl LVII plus the parade. Inspirational. Check it out, it’s awesome!
