Chiefs Offseason Images

I’ve watched the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVII too many times to mention now. I’ve also followed the NFL Draft and seen enough Chiefs images to last a lifetime… for most people. So, let’s take a photo-journey back through the Chiefs offseason… via the images that have left an indelible impression.

.

You may recall Super Bowl LVII when the Chiefs squeaked by the Philadelphia Eagles to take home a third Lombardi Trophy and the second in four years. In that game, the field was a mess and CNN wrote about it in a piece called: “Players criticize field at Super Bowl LVII, saying was ‘like playing in water park” and here was their cover photo:

Some of the lasting memories of that game were Patrick Mahomes grimacing from his ankle injury, which he overcame to play in that game. We also learned recently that RB Isiah Pacheco over came his own list of injuries just to play in that game. From NFL Rumors comes this:

.

.

While many now speculate about Pacheco’s effectiveness when the offseason practices arrive, others are making jokes about what his hand is made of:

.

.

.

Back in February of this year, after the Super Bowl, we were all surprised to find out Patrick Mahomes was already working out. Here’s a health tip from the MensJournal.com:

.

.

Recently, many Chiefs fans were upset because Travis Kelce threw down a fake Lombardi trophy when they thought it was real:

.

.

Obviously, it was a FAKE. I hope Chiefs fans can get over it.

.

When the draft came, both Travis and Patrick carried out the real Lombardi’s that the Chiefs had won:

.

.

Of course, a local bar took liberties with the phrase made popular again by Travis Kelce:

.

“You’ve gotta Fight, For your right, to Lombardi.”

.

.

Of course, Travis Kelce has been everywhere this offseason including the Parade which K.C. threw for the team:

.

.

Then the NFL Draft Came to Kansas City and the Union Station:

.

.

.

The whole city was decked out:

.

In the first three rounds of the draft — days one and two — GM Brett Veach selected:

.

.

Then, on day three, K.C. pin-pointed:

.

.

On the first day of the Chiefs three day mini-camp, Nic Jones already showed up and showed out by picking his first Pro Ball INT… even though it was in a practice:

.

.

The draft has been over long enough for many people — and ex-players — to chime in:

.

.

Nice to hear from Peyton Manning — now that he’s retired — plus Andy Reid has given us his take on OT Wanya Morris:

.

.

I’m beginning to get the idea that this is another stellar set of draft picks for GM Brett Veach. That now makes three stellar drafts in a row. USA Today and Yahoo Sports published a piece called: “NFL power rankings following 2023 draft” in which the Chiefs were still number one in their post-draft rankings. Here are the top eleven — K.C. + their top 10 competitors — who pose a threat to the Chiefs:

.

Here are some of he photos from the Chiefs Mini-camps going on over the weekend.
