Andy Reid. Stability. That’s what the Kansas City Chiefs possess over any other team in the league. Some will argue that Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh is that guy because he’s been the Steelers head man since 2007. Other may want to argue that John Harbaugh is the longest tenured HC in the league and though he’s been with Baltimore since 2008, there are other aspects of this issue to consider. Yes, Andy Reid is #3 on the list of longest tenures Head Coaches in one position.

.
Now that Bill Belichick is gone from New England, Reid holds the position of seniority among all Head Coaches in the league. Reid has been in the NFL as a Head Coach for 25 straight years. The 2024 season is Reid’s 26th in a row. From CBS Sports.com:
.
“In 25 seasons as a head coach, Reid has won
[3] Super Bowl titles, [5] conference championships
and 14 division titles. He’s had 18 double-digit
win seasons. He’s fourth in NFL history with 258
wins and second in postseason wins with 26.”
.
Much has been made — especially on this site — of the Chiefs superior coaching staff. What many may not have realized is that it all begins with Andy Reid. In a piece written by Vahe Gregorian for YahooSports.com, he says of Reid’s personality:
.
“… Reid has guided the Chiefs to three Super Bowl
victories in the last five seasons on his way to certain
induction in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is engaging
and versatile in ways we seldom see — including
keen emotional intelligence and a deft sense of humor
accentuated by how sparingly he flashes it.”

Below is a video of Travis Kelce getting up in Andy Reid’s grill and yelling his desire to be back in the game (I believe) and the point is, no other coach in the league would take that kind of behavior out of one of his players. Even a star player like Kelce.

Here’s ParkOne Sports Network talking about the “Culture” Reid enables in his players (0:21):

.
Not sure many ArrowheadOne fans saw this but Travis Kelce wants to win as many rings as Michael Jordan who has 6. That would mean Kelce needs to win three more:

We fans love it when players show up for Training camp and other events. Here’s a group of photos showing some of the players who showed up for OTAs:

If you don’t recognize some of those players, here’s a key:

Here’s some positive news about Rashee Rice:
.
.
While the photographer who originally filed chargers dropped his chargers, the Prosecutor could still file chargers if he/she wishes to. However, since they likely won’t have a witness for the prosecution now. Consequently, I’d expect to hear that all charges will be dropped. I’m with Cooper McCoy [below] who is hoping that Rice get’s some help. I’m a believer in talk therapy and I would hope that Rashee Rice comes to peaceful terms with what he’s done and who he decides to hang out with.

What do you think of the Organized Team Activities? Satisfied with the teams ability to upgrade so far? Where do you think upgrades are still needed?
