I guess I could have added GOAT at the end of that title… but Patrick Lavon Mahomes has wedged his way into our hearts here in Kansas City. He has also become the reason that the Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach and his team are approaching the draft without the need for a quarterback. Which means, he can focus all of his attention on other positions, especially positions of need… which aren’t the quarterback position. That also means the Chiefs will continue to be selecting in the 26-to-32 range and face either trading up or trading backwards with the idea of getting their man.
