Chiefs Preseason Schedule

Football is back baby! 100% The Hall of Fame Game was on Thursday and this week’s schedule for K.C. has only three practices but… A GAME on it, this coming Saturday. The schedule looks like this:

Over this past weekend the Chiefs had no practice on Saturday and a light practice (10-10-10) on Sunday. Here’s Cole DeRuse (below) in “How Bout Those Chiefs?” exploring the problem that the Chiefs have right now. What’s that problem? They have Trent McDuffie, but no one else who has made a clear cut case to be the CB#2 and the CB#3. McDuffie is said to be the best choices for lining up in the slot, but that leaves two outside positions often reserved for a team’s best CBs.

With the Chiefs having the first preseason game AWAY, and their last two at HOME, it appears that this is the only favor the league made in scheduling… and yet, none of these games count.

It looks like someone in the league office was trying to replicate the first game of the season in 2023 by lining up another game vs the Lions evn though it is a preseason game. If the CHiefs starters play for the first half it won’t surprise me at all. The scheduel used to have four preseason games in in that case, the starters would use the fourth game to knock off some rust. Now, it appears the second game is sued for that and the third game is all backups and third team players trying to put something good on tape for other teams to consider.
