It has begun. The Kansas City Chiefs are holding their 2024 Three-day Rookie Mini-Camp this weekend beginning on Saturday and going through Monday.

Press Conference

First up was IOL Hunter Nourzad.

From Sports Radio 810 WHB:

“It’s pretty surreal. You try to prepare yourself

the best you can…once that bus rolls up and you

see the facility and the stadium…it’s truly breathtaking.

It’s something I feel truly blessed to experience.”

When asked if he had tried any BBQ places yet he said:

“I’m looking forward to it. I do love my

BBQ, so we’ll see what it’s about.”

Next up was Xavier “Zay” Worthy:

Zay caught Punts during the very first day of Chiefs Mini-camp (0:33):

When asked if he’d had a chance ot try Kansas City BBQ yet Worthy said:

“I tried Q39… it was fire.”

Lastly, TE Jared Wiley took to the podium. He said:

“… he had to learn 5 different offenses in college

and [he’s] looking forward to learning his 6th.”

Sounds like Wiley knows how to adapt well enough already learning 5 different offenses in 5 years of college… so Reid’s offense should be easy for him to pick up. Wiley was also asked if he had the chance to study Travis Kelce to which he responded:

“I’ve been studying him for 3 or 4 years…

so to be in the same position room with

him now, it’s kind of a star struck feeling.”

Jared Wiley also said:

“From what I’ve heard, Chiefs Kingdom is second

to none. I’m really excited to run out of that tunnel

at Arrowhead and just feel that energy they bring to

every game.”
