Laddie Morse
Perhaps I should have called this piece: “MY Top Ten Plays of the 2022 Season.” If you haven’t guessed by now, this is almost entirely a film piece. I thought I better get this piece out before it really turns into the 2023 season, which really arrives once the draft gets here. Since I chose these plays… I have found other plays that I like even more, but for now, I’ll stick with these.
.
The Shovel Pass for 6 to
Clyde Edwards-Helaire
.
.
TD Pass to MVS at the
Back of the End Zone
.
This is one I’ve found a better film of when he falls to the seat of his pants while catching a TD. In any event, here’s his TD at the back of the end zone.
.
.
Jody Fortson TD
vs the Cardinals
.
.
JuJu Smith-Schuster
TD in Denverland
.
.
Jerick McKinnon Touchdown
.
That was such a great run I had to include it. Then, of course, there’s this chucking pass Mahomes made which landed in McKinnon’s arms and he and his speed did the rest.
.
.
.
Noah Gray’s Acrobatic
Catch at Mid-Field
.
.
Kadarius Toney’s Jet
Sweep Touchdown
.
.
The previous play was also a TD by Toney, but it was called back because of a supposed holding call on the famous Snow Globe play. This play is actually better (without all the glitz and glamour) because you can better see Toney’s ability to juke and cut.
.
Travis Kelce… the
Best Tight End Ever
.
I could have devoted a whole post to Travis Kelce’s catches, touchdowns or otherwise. Hmmm… now that’s a good idea! While it was hard to choose just one of Kelce’s TDs, his catch in the end zone during the Super Bowl represented a comeback and isn’t it always Kelce who gets that party started!?!
.
.
Kadarius Toney’s TD
.
When Kadarius Toney waltzed into the end zone untouched it represented the Chiefs coming all the way back. Yes, I know I have two Toney TDs represented here, but this was a biggie so get off my back! Hehe….
.
.
Skyy Moore’s First of
Many Touchdown’s to Come
.
.
For a mistake of a touchdown, there couldn’t be one with more importance to the final result. Why was it a mistake… because they called the same play to the same side of the field but someone lined up wrong and it ended up going to Skyy Moore for an 8 point lead.
I’m sure you have other favorite plays from this past season. Please share.
