More Play Action
.
Ryan Tracy at rGR Football addresses the Chiefs offense and having them do more Play-action. Here’s his take (0:39):
.
.
Play action draws the Safeties in, which includes Tyrann Matthieu.
.
Play an Unfamiliar Scheme
.
The Saints have a number of former Chiefs on their defense so they may have an idea of what the offense is going to do in any given situation. Those players include: Safety Tyrann Mathieu, DL Khalen Saunders, DE Tanoh Kpassagnon, and LB Willie Gay. In an article called, “2024 Start Em, Sit Em, Defenses For Week 5” Fantasy Analyst Michael Florio of NFL.com says,
.
“The Saints are a tough defensive unit. But I don’t care —
do not play them against Kansas City. The Chiefs may not
have the high-powered offense that we’re accustomed to,
but they control the clock, do not take sacks and typically
take care of the ball. A defense has yet to reach double-digit
fantasy points against them. Sit the Saints.”

.
Lean on Kelce
.
In an article for NewOrleans.com, Luke Johnson, their staff writer, has a piece called: “A Saints defense that has struggled against tight ends will face a big challenge this week” in which he says:
.
“Travis Kelce, who turns 35 years old this week, is off
to a slow start in his 12th NFL season. Through four games,
he’s averaging a career-low 39.5 yards per game. But Kelce
got off to a relatively slow start last season as well before
exploding for 124 and 179 yards in his fifth and sixth
games of the season. The nine-time Pro Bowler fell 16
yards shy of posting his eighth consecutive 1,000-yard
receiving season last year. His 11,486 career receiving
yards is fourth most by a tight end in NFL history. So, even
if he hasn’t been his usual self this season, the Saints are
acutely aware of what he can do — and of the ways the
Chiefs try to scheme plays for him specifically.”

Limit RB Alvin Kamara
.
The Chief Defensive Line has already passed a number of tests when faced with some of the league’s best Running backs. Facing Alvin Kamara will be no different. After four games this season:

My guess is that the Chiefs will try to out-run the Saints. This game may well come down to that alone: who can run the ball better (0:30)?

Heres one fan I think has it all together (1:29)!

Kansas City fans are the best in the world! Maybe it’s a biased opinion, but I believe.
