With the Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp kicking into high gear this past weekend, it’s time to take a look at what’s being said and heard there. Cole DeRuse of “How bout those Chiefs” podcasts tweeted this out (0:26):

McDuffie looks to have a better year in his second season having spent 7 weeks on IR in 2022. Otherwise, McDuffie says: “Right now I feeling good.” On Monday, Travis Kelce revealed that: “We attacked OTAs like it was Training camp.” Nice sentiment, but we’ll have to wait until the season begins to see how that works out for the team. Old doubts resurfacing i guess.

DC Steve Spagnuolo also said this on Monday: “We want to be number one in the NFL in defensive efficiency.”

I’m not so sure Spags would be talking like that unless he had a good idea his defense could produce at that high a rate.

Probably, most significantly, he said: “I’ve been working heavy all offseason.” Reid also said he’d gained muscle weight and went from 205 to 217.
