Compensation: A Fourth in 2018, A Second in 2019

 

 

 

 

Alright… we’ve been patient. We’ve wondered what the compensation would be for the Marcus Peters trade to the Los Angeles Rams… and I have to say, the Chiefs did… okay.

 

When you figure that the market wasn’t knocking down the Chiefs door to offer all sorts of picks and players, then you’d have to say the Kansas City Chiefs did fairly well, all things being considered. Yes, I’ve come down off the ledge — a bit — but now I can see that the Chiefs got three years of the best value for Peters in the life of his — what is projected to be stellar — career.

 

 

 

 

 

With that… the Kansas City Chiefs have set there offseason ship to sail over rougher waters than we first thought. The trading for Kendall Fuller was a fleecing of the Washington Redskins and while you could als osay the Chiefs got fleeced by the Los Angeles Rams, the reality is that they got three years of tremendous play and then were able to dump a problematic player who was going to cost them more than they had decided they could spend on a problematic player within the next two years.

 

And so, we move on without Marcus Peters. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. However, in the traditional spirit of goodbye to the players we’ll miss… here’s this:
