For whatever reason, the NFL lost my request for the game to be shown on the NFL Network last night, but like some of our other readers, it was not available to me. If there were scouts from both the NFL and CFL at last week’s game there should have been plenty in attendance last night so it would make sense that as far as week 4 preseason games go, this is the one that should have been live. It does not air until Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
Lucky for me, I have all of you to get me up to speed so let’s get to it…
How did the new CB Akers look? He’s only had a few days with the team, but did look like he has the skill set to be in the rotation?
Did either Bray or Murray give teams like Dallas or Minnesota a reason to call Mr. Dorsey? There are 5 QB’s on this roster. On Saturday there will be no more than 3….
Was it more of the dink and dunk style or was anyone allowed to let it fly? Were the QB’s allowed to audition or were they asked to just keep it simple?
Who in the WR corps earned themselves a spot on the roster? (Hope it was D-Rob)
Was there anyone that you thought would be cut but are rethinking it based on last night? Who earned a ticket home and who earned a locker?
P.S. 22 players competing for a roster spot will face a setback on Saturday. For some, it will be their first, for others, it will be just another bump in the road to fulfill a childhood dream. Some will never see the inside of an NFL locker room again, some won’t make it off of the waiver wire and will have a job the very next day. To all of them, I would like to say, “Good luck in whatever you do…unless what you do is play for another AFC West team.”
