This morning Pete Sweeney tweeted out the following :51 second conversation with Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey:

Here, Dorsey calls Acker (rhymes with “hacker”), a “back-up cornerback” but also says Acker started last year. My thought is that Dorsey would not trade away a draft pick for a back-up… unless that player had starting abilities.
From Matt Derrick who is KC Chiefs beat writer for the Topeka Capital-Journal and publisher of ChiefsDigest.com:
#Chiefs acquire cornerback Kenneth Acker from 49ers; started 13 games last year but appeared to fall out of favor https://t.co/ZyX8Fmm7Mt

Matt Derrick says that Acker started 2015 as a starter but eventually dropped to #4 on their depth chart. The corners in front of Acker?
Tramaine Brock, Dontae Johnson and Rashard Robinson.
The reality is that Kenneth Acker was going to be cut by Tuesday, in the first cut down most likely, and I’m guessing that the pick John Dorsey gave up for him was a conditional pick. Most likely conditional upon his making the team.
What do you think Chiefs fans? Are you happy with this new movement… or still somewhat confused as many have expressed recently?
