The city of Kansas City, Missouri has been awarded the 2013 National Football League Draft in April of 2023.
It’s official! The 2023 NFL Draft will be held in "downtown Kansas City."

When the owners announced that K.C. would be the city that the draft takes place they were essentially sending millions of dollars into the city and state’s economy.
Important draft host notes for K.C.:
-Nashville enjoyed $133M in direct spending from draft
-$10.6M in taxes/fees alone
-81% of visitors cited draft as main reason for being in area
-Average stay: 2.8 nights
Bottom line: A big draw for people willing to spend over long weekend— Matt Conner (@MattConnerAA) May 22, 2019
It’s unknown at this time exactly where the hub of the draft will eb located: it could be Union Station, it could be downtown, it could be the Plaza, but I doubt it will be at the Truman Sports complex. The speculation is that is will be held in the downtown area but I’ve heard talk of other locations being a possibility. However, it seems most likely that the owners would have to know the specifics and since downtown can handle all those needs, downtown is my guess. UPDATE: Unions Station/Crown Center – is now the area of town designated for this event.
In any event… Congratulations to Kansas City for being the new host of the 2023 NFL Draft!
