Mocking Monday(Round One is 18 Days Away)

NFL Draft “The Pick Is In” – 985thesportshub photo credit

Since we have received no news of a signing or a move for a trade, I prepared this missive to post on Monday. The dearth of new material has depleted my brain, so I chose to do some mock drafts. In what follows I detail three Straight mock drafts with no trades(4 Rounds) with three different simulators.

PFN Simulator – I wouldn’t say I liked this draft. I wasn’t able to double-dip for CB. I was able to get 2 Edge defenders and also Receivers. I could not justify any LBs later in the draft.

PFF Simulator – I like this draft, with a top CB, 2 DEs, and 2 WRs. I was able to get a later DI(not optimum).

Fanspeak – The CB and DT that I like. Ojabo was the top DE, and I was able to get a 2nd plus 2 WRs, a LB, and a RB. In the pick position where I chose the RB, I wanted the opportunity for a 2nd CB.

All three simulators had differing predicates draft boards and Team Needs. I made no trades. This exercise was just for fun as an initial take on Mocks reported and posted at ArrowheadOne. Usually, Laddie and I work up a draft board together and post about that. Due Laddie’s unavailability, that effort will be null for the first time in three years. I ordinarily have used First-Pick. But they have had trouble all spring getting the draft picks correct. I have sent them five emails on how to fix the problems. They got it wrong again last week. They only show the Chiefs with a single first-round pick. Oh, heavens!
