Review of ArrowheadOne Writer’s Season Predictions

Review of ArrowheadOne Writer’s Season PredictionsAccountability. You here it preached on a regular basis: “We should be accountable for our words, and actions.” So, since the Chiefs have just finished their regular season with a 14-and-2 record, let’s take a fun-loving look back at what our ArrowheadOne writer’s predicted would be the Kansas City Chiefs regular season record, way back in September. Let’s begin with those writers who knocked it out of the park first. IOW, they kicked it squarely through the uprights!

David Bell: 14-and-2

David said: “I debated 16-0 and 13-3. I picked the middle of the two.” I should have listened to you David. I should have listened.

Alan Haupt: 14-and-2

Alan said: “Again my strong prediction is that 2020 the Kansas City Chiefs will dominate on there way to another Super Bowl victory.” You called it Alan. I should have put money on it when both you and David Bell made this prediction… then David Beck did the same and I’m out in the cold at 16-and-0.

David Beck: 14-and-2

David Beck said: “I wanted to say 16-0, but I’m a realist who knows that in today’s NFL, it’s not easy to win a single game, let alone all of them. I think 14-2 is still optimistic.” Excellent call David!.

James McGregor: 13-and-3

James said: “Injuries happen, adversity happens, uncertainty embraces every organization, and sometimes balls just bounce a funny way that we would never expect.” Boy, you can say that again. This season could easily turned out to be 13-and-3!

Ransom Hawthorne: 13-and-3

Ransom said: “Early, this offseason, I predicted the Chiefs would go 14-2, but I’m going to downgrade that to 13-3, mainly because of the opt out, from Lucas Niang.” Maybe you should have stuck with your first inclination.

Price A. Carter: 12-and-4

Price said: “The Chiefs will have another strong season and dominate the AFC.” Indeed, indeed!

John Cooney: 12-and-4

John, from  Pass2Win.com and FootballMasterMind, said: “Anyone who has followed pro football over the many years of play knows full well of the all-too-real “Super Bowl Hangover.” Can a team be “over a hangover?

Michael Travis Rose: 15-and-1

Travis said: “The Red & Gold’s only possible loss will come in Week 15 against the Saints in New Orleans.” Well, the loss came much earlier in the season.

Paul Pulley16-and-0

Paul said: “Undefeated Baby! A little over a year ago I pieced together an article here at ArrowheadOne in which I made a few predictions…. My main reason… the maturation of Patrick Mahomes and the advancement of Spagnuolo’s defense in year 2.” I felt the same way Paul. I still think this team has that potential. Maybe next year.

Laddie Morse: 16-and-0

I said: “Mr. Mahomes will be doing far less coming from behind, and far more, lead-dogging it.” Boy, oh boy, was I wrong.
