The Chiefs Top 10 Plays of the 2022 Season

After seeing that the Kansas City Chiefs had published their own “Top 10 Plays” of the 2022 season, which you can find at the end of this piece, I had to do my own. Here are the plays aI chose.

Only a couple of these plays are repeats of the ones chosen by the Chiefs. Let’s take a look:

.

Patrick Mahomes runs it inside the 20 yard line… on a bad ankle.

.

.

Kadarius Toney, in the brief time he was in K.C. last year, gave us several excellent highlight plays to choose from. However, I chose the Corn Dog play in the Super Bowl.

.

.

Skyy Moore will likely provide us with many highlight reel plays in 2023. Here’s his Corn Dog play as well. Why? There’s nothing like a go ahead TD in the 4th quarter of a Super Bowl.

.

.

Noah Gray had one of the best catches I’ve ever seen. Yes, he had to double clutch it, but that’s part of the beauty of it all.

.

.

Nick Bolton could have won the Super Bowl MVP. If his second scoop and score had not been called off, he woudl have too.

.

.

Jaylen Watson had a dream INT turning a Chargers score into one for the Chiefs. Here, he runs it back for a 99 yard score.

.

.

Travis Kelce had so many great catches in 2022 and that made it extra difficult to make a choice and narrow it down to just one play. However, this was the first TD by the Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl and from the looks of it… it wasn’t an easy catch either.

.

.

MVS had a strange year. Early on, I thought he might get cut thsi offseason. Then things began to click with him and Mahomes. Next thing you know, MVS is having a breakout game i nthe AFC Championship battle with the Bengals. Here’s that 6 catch, 116 yard affair:

.

While it’s difficult to pick just one play that was the best play of 2022, when you begin to cut down the possible entries, this play by Patrick Mahomes and Jerick McKinnon keeps coming up. There are so many things to like about this play: Mahomes creativity, McKinnon’s reaching grab, then his incredible speed leaves all Broncos defenders grasping at air. So, here it is:

As I mentioned earlier, here are the Chiefs Top 10 Plays. Enjoy:
