The Arrowhead Shuffle Begins
After all is said and done, vis-à-vis the draft and Free Agent signings, the Kansas City Chiefs went to the Mini-camp with many UDFAs, and also Veterans. Of one thing we can be sure: things are never static and changes to the 90-man roster have already begun.
Just this week, we found players added, and others subtracted. GM Brett Veach is not sitting still — nor is anyone else at One Arrowhead Way — and the defense appears to be a primary focus: the Chiefs released Missouri safety Martez Manuel and vested veteran defensive tackle Byron Cowart. Veach has also signed DL Matt Dickerson, DT Chris Williams, and DB Lamar Jackson.

Training Camp Report Dates
Right now, these dates seem far off in the future. I always struggle with the time it takes to get from the Mini-camp to Training Camp. Well, I also struggle with the first week of non-contact training camp, too. Patience is a virtue it is said.

* Players whom I believe will play a significant role.
$ = Players I see as potentially emerging on the roster or at least the PS. !!
Clyde = I am glad there is no 5th-year option for him. I would have preferred that he be traded.
Note: OT Chukwuebuka Jason Godrick signed via the International Player Pathway Program and is not listed
.
There were many players added and subtracted, some in the same week. The indicators I used show who and what I think are essential contributors and I believe could end up being part of the future, or at least the practice squad. Cuts are noted.

Now you have the basics of the offseason program schedule, player movements, and Preseason game info. Laddie posted an article on the 2023 Schedule:
Chiefs 2023 Schedule Takes
After perusing the schedule, I upped the regular season record from 14-3 to 15-2 –> my most optimistic prediction ever. There is no particular game that I see as a definite losing proposition. I figured they could go 8-1 up to the Bye Week and 7-1 the rest of the way. Why Not? I cannot see the Chiefs Quaking in their boots for any scheduled game. In fact, I see the NFL being the entity that is quaking in the boots.
It’s a tough schedule again, but there are “Advantage Chiefs” games throughout. The season opener? KC Should win that game. Is the game in Germany tough? Sure. The Chiefs will win that game. The Prime Time Games? I think are a benefit to the Chiefs. The game after the bye? Invariably the Chiefs will win that game.
Sure, sweeping the West is going to be tough( gain). The Bills, Eagles, and Bengals are going to be tough mat h-ups. Honestly, I can see the Chiefs winning games ugly–again, but that is the nature of the NFL. Every team we face will be “up” for the game to knock the Kansas City Chiefs off of their square. Contrary to many opinions that I see in public venues, I have a lofty view of the Chief’s newly constructed offensive line which I think will end up the season being a top-five unit with depth.
I like our RB group (Pacheco, McKinnon, CEH with maybe a surprise addition). It’s my anticipation that the Chief’s defense is going to be significantly improved as well. I have a fervently positive attitude about the WR Corps. All of these things, for me give me significant enthusiasm to see the season unfolds, one game at a time.
The end goal is to win the AFC Championship Game and do so at Arrowhead Stadium followed by another Super Bowl Appearance and Victory in Super Bowl LVIII!
