2017 NFL Salary Cap Set

The NFL has finally set the Salary Cap number and that number is $167M. Adam Schefter is reporting that the league is fixed the number that all teams will have to sign players.

Some reports said that the number could be as high as $169M. In any event, owners and general managers now know just how much they have in the yearly bank account… or in some cases, don’t have. Below is a summary of where every team is currently at with the salary cap provided by Adam Schefter. Please note that the Chiefs appear to be $5M over the new cap limit.

Cuts are still to come for sure… but it does explain the reason for releasing cutting JC and not franchise tagging Dontari Poe.

Go Chiefs!!!!
