The Chiefs Begin the Year With a Win or Loss Because…

This is where the rubber meets the road… the arrows hit their target… the gettin’ gets good, because I’m sure we’ve all said one of these things to ourselves, “the Chiefs begin the year with a win or a loss because….”

Here, let me give you some examples.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Tyreek Hill can’t be covered. The New England Patriots cornerbacks fail to stay with Hill on several occasions allowing him to get deep. or… since N.E. head coach Bill Belichick knows that… and the K.C head coach Andy Reid knows that Belichick knows that he knows that too… Reid uses Hill on a host of underneath routes and then sends Hill out as a decoy and DAT or Demarcus Robinson are successful going long.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, the defense is unable to maintain coverage on half of the field with Steven Nelson missing and Tom Brady goes off.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, the Chiefs front seven completely shut down any run game the Patriots hope to initiate and they focus all their energies on the pass defense where they’re able to limit Tom Brady to some degree (which is the best any team can hope for).

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, the Chiefs start the game slowly like they did on too many occasions recently and the Patriots build a lead that in insurmountable.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, they’re able to play a ball control game slowing the game down and maintaining possession with a balanced running and passing attack.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, North Korea drops a bomb on us all… oh wait. They don’t have any bombs.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Marcus Peters or Eric Berry have a pick-six to win the game in the last 2:00 minutes of the game.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, Rob Gronkowski has a stellar game and rules the Chiefs defensive backfield.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Dave Toub’s Special Team’s unit kills it and consistently produces great field position and a TD.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, Bill Belichick beats Andy Reid at is own game and dink-n-dunks his way down the field… much as he did in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Albert Wilson and Demetrius Harris hold onto the ball when it’s thrown their way because Belichick will allow them to be targeted and is counting on them dropping the ball.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, Albert Wilson and Demetrius Harris DON’T hold onto the ball when it’s thrown their way because Belichick will allow them to be targeted and is counting on them dropping the ball.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Alex Smith comes through and has one of his best games ever and stays on the roll he’s been on for months.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, Tom Brady plays like Tom Brady.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because, Justin Houston takes over the game like he did against Denver last year.

The Chiefs begin the year with a loss because, the Patriots receiving corp is too much for the Chiefs defensive backfield.

The Chiefs begin the year with a win because…………..

Now, it’s your turn. Give us one reason the Chiefs win… and one reason they lose… and tell us why.
