Jan. 28: Senior Bowl
Jan. 31: Deadline for teams to try out and negotiate with CFL players.
Feb 5: Super Bowl.
Feb. 6: Waiver system begins.
Feb. 11: NFL Regional Combines (Virginia Mason Athletic Center, Seattle, Washington).
Feb. 16: First day to designate Franchise & Transition players.
Feb. 23-29: NFL Combine in Indy.
Mar. 1: 4:00 p.m., ET, Deadline for teams to designate Franchise & Transition Players.
Mar. 7-9: Teams can contact players & negotiate contracts verbally (3 days of Funky Time).
Mar. 9: All 2016 player contracts expire at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
Mar. 9: League Year begins. Free agency begins at 4 p.m. (ET).
Mar. 9: “Top-51” Begins. All teams must be under the 2017 salary cap by 4:00 p.m., (ET).
Mar. 9: Trading period for 2017 begins at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
Mar. 26-29: Annual League Meeting (for owners), Phoenix, Arizona.
Apr. 3: Clubs that hired a new HC after the end of 2016, can begin offseason workouts.
Apr. 17: Clubs with returning HCs can begin offseason workouts.
Apr. 21: Deadline for (Restricted) Free Agents to sign.
Apr. 27: 2017 NFL Draft in Philly- DAY 1
Apr. 28: 2017 NFL Draft in Philly- DAY 2
Apr. 29: 2017 NFL Draft in Philly- DAY 3
