Knile Davis: A Chief Again?
It looks like the Green Bay Packers have released running back Knile Davis after only 2 weeks. Will he be a Kansas City Chief again? So it seems the Packers have given Davis all of 2 weeks to show what he can do and apparently it wasn’t very impressive. He was released on Monday after all of 13 snaps with the Pack.
Unfortunately, it looks like we don’t get the conditional pick for the trade. First off, I would revise my trading practices with the Packers. Second, should we pick Davis back up given the injuries at running back we sustained against the Indianapolis Colts? Davis obviously knows the team and the offense. He could join right back in with minimal learning curve. One would also suspect we could get him at a league minimum deal. He would probably be a few game rental, but good insurance nonetheless.
What do you think fans? Good karmic timing for the Chiefs, or what? And, while we are on the topic of bringing back former Chiefs players to fill a backup position of need….
How about making a trade for one Matthew Brennan Cassel of the Tennessee Titans? I think a full rack of ribs from Arthur Bryant’s should do it. With a playoff incentive of some burnt ends from a restaurant to be named.
Decisions, decisions. And there’s The (Breaking News) Rub.
