NFL Predictions and Outcomes

Many times we see analysts predict the out come of games but then the never – and I mean NEVER – tell you if their predictions were close to being accurate. Yesterday I published a piece called “NFL: Game day Pre-flections” in which I predicted the outcome of all the games played in the NFL this weekend. The reason for the article was to focus on other teams since the Kansas City Chiefs were not playing this weekend. Let’s take a look and see how I came out.

Befoe the Jets and the Raiders play their game, I was 6 wins and 5 losses. Not as good as I thought I might be. Good thing I’m not a betting man… I’d do horribly. Here’s the predictions I made in yesterday’s piece:

Now, here’s how I did. The Red Ones signify the ones I got wrong while the Green Ones signify the ones I got right (Note: the one in black at the end is the game being played on Sunday Night and the outcome is yet unknown).

Although I may have been wrong in several cases, I’m gald the games came out the way they did. For instance:

•The Texans beat the Bengals sending them to 5-and-4. That’s good news for the Chiefs in Conference play.

•The Buccaneers beat the Titans making their record 3-and-6 and likely out of the playoffs. Anytime we DON’T have to face RB Derrick Henry it’s a good thing.

•The 49ers trouncing the Jags is a huge positive for K.C. in the AFC Conference. The Jags are now 6-and-3 (but still atop the AFC South).

•The Browns beat the Ravens making them 7-and-3 which is good considering AFC Conference play.

•The Lions beat the Chargers making them 4-and-5 and tied with the Raiders in the AFC West.

•

Although the Chiefs had a Bye Week this week, they were helped by several teams. Let’s hope the Jets can hang in their and whip those Raiders.
