The Chiefs Select Xavier Worthy

Many of us have been waiting like little kids, the night before Christmas for this evening to come and in many ways, it didn’t disappoint. For some, who didn’t necessarily like the Chiefs draft pick, it was a bit of a disaster, but for the rest of us, it was like Santa appearing with a bag full of toys. Well, one toy. What toy you ask? Well, to begin with, Xavier Worthy is the unquestioned fastest man in the NFL. Ever. Hey, didn’t we just trade away that guy two years ago? Yep, we sure did, and the 2023 season was the worst season in K.C. history… probably.

However, to jump up to pick #28 required a trade with the Buffalo Bills. Here’s how that trade looked:

The Kansas City Chiefs now have the fastest man in the NFL… once again. Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown make up a formidable pair of WRs, and we haven’t even dipped our toes in the second and third days of the draft. With Travis Kelce still in the house, it’s now one of the best receiving crews the league has ever known and I say that long before the team takes the field. How did we get here? The Buffalo Bills traded picks with the Chiefs (again) at the back of the first round of this draft to make it possible.

Now, the Chiefs just need to add a clause to his contract that stipulates that –> “Xavier Worthy may not own or rent a Lamborghini.”

We’ll be online again tonight to cover the NFL Draft Day Two. Stop by if you like.
