Chiefs Win a Butker Game, Take Division

The Kansas City Chiefs set a record with their 16th AFC West Division win — 25-to-17 — when all other teams in their division have 15 titles. Its was also their 8th consecutive AFC West title. I call this the “Butker Game” because although K.C. was losing at halftime by a score of 17-to-13, kicker Harrison Butker kicked 6 Field Goals to make this win a possibility.

While I am not a fan of Field Goals and think they also represent missed opportunities in the Red Zone — opportunities for TDs — in this case, it was Butker’s accuracy that won the day.

Running back Isiah Pacheco had 130 yard rushing on 18 carries for a 7.2 YPC average. Pop, as he is called by his team mates, now needs just 65 yards in his last game to surpass the 1,00 yard mark. He also had 7 receptions for 35 yards in this game and a TD (0:36).

Harrison Butker also made Six (6) Field Goals to ice this game.
